Process management techniques using a representation state transfer architecture include, for example, a method of managing a given process in a data-centric manner in a client/server environment, comprising at least one client and at least one server. In an exemplary method, the server obtains from the client at least one request associated with the given process. In response to the request obtained from the client, the server generates an entity, wherein the generated entity is represented in terms of a data model and a lifecycle model associated therewith, wherein the lifecycle model comprises states and state transitions with each transition caused by one or more activities in the given process, and wherein the given process is represented as a collection of communicating entities. The server sends a response to the at least one request to the client, wherein the response is based at least in part on the generated entity.

Process management using representation state transfer architecture

A method, non-transitory computer-readable storage device, and apparatus for promoting adoption of an automated communication channel. The two principal functions of the PBS are brokering of multiple business processes encapsulated in various back-end systems including workflow engines and business applications, and aggregating content from multiple enterprise information systems in the business context and managing the shared access to this based on the roles of the participants. The dynamic services provided by PBS are accessible to clients through the PBS Interface.

Method and system for process brokering and content integration for collaborative business process management

Systems and methods are provided for selectively cache trading partner transaction messages in a trading partner collaboration environment. At least one trading partner transaction message is received. A determination is made as to whether at least one trading partner business rule requires data from the transaction message. If at least one trading partner business rule requires data from the transaction message, at least a portion of the transaction message in a transaction history cache is selectively cached. Another determination is made as to whether the transaction message is associated with a trading partner business rule. If the transaction message is associated with a trading partner business rule the transaction message is processed based on the associated trading partner business rule and previous transaction message data residing in the transaction history cache.
