Disclosed herein are systems and method for restoring files from a backup, the method including: retrieving a time indicator from a time server associated with a backup server; synchronizing time between the backup server and a computing device performing a backup, based on the time indicator; performing the backup of files from the computing device to the backup server, wherein a malicious process modifies at least one file being backed up at an incident time during the backup and performs an attempt to change a time of the computing device such that a modification timestamp of the at least one file precedes the incident time; blocking the attempt to change the time of the computing device; subsequent to completing the backup, detecting the malicious process infecting the computing device; and performing a restoration of the backup on the computing device.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for indexing and searching an encrypted archive. In one exemplary aspect, a method comprises generating, by a hardware processor, an encrypted data archive based on a user backup performed using a backup plan with an encryption flag enabled and a user key; generating, by the hardware processor, an index key for the encrypted data archive; encrypting, by the hardware processor, the index key using the user key; storing, by the hardware processor, the index key in a secure data storage; creating and mounting, by the hardware processor, an encrypted file system folder for the encrypted data archive using the index key; decrypting, by the hardware processor, data in the encrypted data archive using the user key; and indexing, by the hardware processor, the decrypted data.

System and method for indexing and searching encrypted archives

Disclosed herein are systems and method for multiplexing data of an underlying index. In an exemplary aspect, an index handler may: search for a data file in a plurality of data buckets associated with an index, wherein at least one respective data bucket of a plurality of data buckets is attached to a respective slot of a plurality of slots; identify, based on the searching, a first data bucket of the plurality of data buckets that comprises the data file; in response to determining that the first data bucket is not attached to any of the plurality of slots, attach the first data bucket to a first slot of the plurality of slots; and enable access to the data file via the first data bucket attached to the first slot.

Systems and methods for multiplexing data of an underlying index

Disclosed herein are systems and method for multiplexing data of an underlying index. In an exemplary aspect, an index handler may generate a plurality of slots and a plurality of data buckets for a traditional index. The index handler may receive, from a software application, a request to access a data file. The index handler may determine whether any slot of the plurality of slots is attached to a respective data bucket of the plurality of data buckets comprising the data file. In response to determining that a first slot of the plurality of slots is attached to a first data bucket comprising the data file, the index handler may enable, via the first data bucket attached to the first slot, access to the data file to the software application.
