A method for managing a software application. The method involves receiving an abstract API command to perform a life cycle operation (LCO) on a target system, where the LCO identifies the software application, where the software application is associated with a software application schema, and where the target system is associated with a platform independent registry, determining whether the LCO is compatible with the target system using the software application schema and the platform independent registry, where the LCO is compatible with the target system; mapping the abstract API command to an operating system (OS)-specific command for performing the LCO, where the OS-specific command is associated with an OS executing on the target system; executing the OS-specific API command to perform the LCO on the target system to obtain a result; and updating the platform independent registry based on the result.

Platform independent registry framework

A method is provided for performing a component product integration synchronization. In the method, a component product extensible markup language (XML) schema is generated. A number of component products to be integrated together in a software system are then identified. A component product XML file is generated for each identified component product according to the generated component product XML schema. The generated component product XML files are used to verify compatibility of the identified component products when integrated together in the software system. Once compatibility of the identified component products is verified, the software system can be built with a high expectation of success.

Method and system for automated component product integration

A method for setting up an schema to control data-exchange within a groupware environment is provided. The groupware environment has an administrator. A customized attribute associated with the data-exchange within the groupware environment is defined. A preferred customized attribute value for the groupware environment is identified. A preferred customized attribute value for a participant of the groupware environment is determined. A policy for the data-exchange between the participant of the groupware environment and the administrator of groupware environment based on the preferred customized attribute value of the groupware environment and the preferred customized attribute value of the participant is determined.

Methods and systems for implementing customized data to control groupware environment data exchange

A method of mapping locale data names stored in a cross platform database is disclosed. In the described embodiment, the database is formatted and the attributes are loaded in the formatted database. An attribute associated with a source platform is selected and the database is queried for the selected attribute. The selected attribute is then provided to the target platform.
