This invention relates to novel polymorphic/pseudopolymorphic forms of 5-[4-[2[N-methyl-N-(2-pyridyl)amino]ethoxy]benzyl]thiazolidine-2,4-dione maleate having formula (I). The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the novel polymorphic form or their mixture and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
