Described herein are systems and methods that provide access of a cloud service workload to data of storage devices. A control plane identifies one or more arrays of the storage devices as to what the workload needs access. Discovering is performed by the control plane as to data access of the cloud service to the storage devices. Cloud service accounts which include compute resources used by the workload are identified by the control plane. The control plane provides access to the workload and the compute resources to the data using the data access of the cloud service.

Described herein are systems and methods for replication and moving data to provide for container-based application mobility. The configuration of the of the container-based application is determined and copied to an intermediate object storage. Depending on the replication compatibility of source array backing the source cluster and the target array backing the target cluster either a replication engine or data mover are used to move data. Configuration of the container-based application in the common storage is copied and stored to the target cluster. The target cluster is used to restore the container-based application.

Method and system for temporary replication as data mover for container-based application mobility

Described are system and methods that provide for backing up a source cluster of a container-based application to a target cluster, using an intermediate store accessible by the source cluster and target cluster. The target cluster is registered and the container-based application is identified. Configuration and data of the container-based application is collected and written to intermediate store. A command identifying the target cluster to the intermediate store, which is read. If the identifier in the command and the identifier for the target are the same, a restore is performed to the target cluster.

Method and system for cross cluster container-based application cloning

Methods and a system that back up container-based applications running on an information handling system. Configurations are collected of the container-based applications. Volumes are determined as to the container-based applications as found in storage with persistent volumes. The container-based applications are quiesced, while clones of the volumes are created that are used by the container-based applications. A backup is performed using a data mover for each volume of the cloned volumes.
