Absorbent article, in particular a diaper or an incontinence product, includes an absorbent structure () including a back-sheet (), a top-sheet () and an absorbent core () there between. The absorbent structure () has a front portion () defining a front lateral edge (), a rear portion () defining a rear lateral edge () and a crotch portion () situated between the front portion and the rear portion. A pair of belt sections () is present for fastening the absorbent article to the waist of a wearer, the belt sections being fixedly attached to the rear portion of the absorbent structure. The absorbent article has a maximum lateral extension B between the respective lateral-most edges () of the belt sections that is governed by the following expression: 0.3&#x3c;A/B&#x3c;0.7 where A is the maximum lateral extension of the front lateral edge of the absorbent structure.

Absorbent article

The disclosure relates to an absorbent article including a top-sheet having an inner side and an outside and a back-sheet having an inner side and an outside and the inner side of the back-sheet being directed towards the inner side of the top-sheet. At least one elongate belt is provided which has a free end portion for fastening the absorbent article around the waist of a wearer and an attachment end portion that is fixedly attached to the outside of the back-sheet or to the outside of the top-sheet, whereas the free end portion is arranged within the boundaries of the top-sheet and/or the back-sheet.

An absorbent article () includes an absorbent core () disposed between an inner coversheet () and an outer coversheet (). The article further includes at least one disposal fastener () which is directly or indirectly joined to the outer coversheet (). The disposal fastener () includes a fastening element () which allows the article to be secured in a configuration that provides a convenient disposal after the article has been used. The disposal fastener () is covered by a material layer () having a surface area such that it extends beyond the disposal fastener (). The material layer () is attached to or forms an integral part of the outer coversheet () so as to keep the disposal fastener () hidden when not in use. The material layer () is releasable from the outer coversheet () so as to expose the disposal fastener () for use.

Absorbent article having disposal fastening means

An absorbent diaper () has a topsheet () and a backsheet () and an absorbent core (). The diaper also has a rear waist portion (), and a front waist portion (), each having an upper edge respectively (). The diaper further has a disposal tape () which is attached to both the topsheet () and the backsheet () across and around an upper edge (). One of the attachments () is releasable. The disposal tape () may be used for maintaining the diaper in a rolled or folded configuration for disposal, while before being used for disposal it covers an upper edge () of the diaper, providing a comfortable upper edge for the wearer.

Disposal means on an absorbent diaper

An absorbent article having a first essentially liquid permeable surface layer (), a backing layer () and, located between said liquid permeable surface layer () and said liquid impermeable backing layer (), an absorbent body (). The absorbent body has cavities () which are essentially cone-shaped and extend at least through part of the absorbent body (), said cavities () having a tip part () and a base (), the tip part () being located towards or in the liquid permeable surface layer () and the base () being located away from the liquid permeable surface layer (). The inner surface of said cavities () is treated with at least one functional substance.
