Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured to communicate with a radio access network (RAN) via a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG). Such methods include, while the SCG is deactivated, performing beam failure detection (BFD) for at least one cell in the SCG, according to a first BFD configuration. Such methods include, in response to detecting an initial beam failure in the deactivated SCG, transmitting a first message indicating the initial beam failure to a RAN node configured to provide the MCG; and in response to detecting one or more subsequent beam failures in the deactivated SCG, refraining from transmitting to the RAN any messages indicating the one or more subsequent beam failures (e.g., until receiving another BFD configuration). Other embodiments include complementary methods for a RAN node, as well as UEs and RAN nodes configured to perform such methods.

Beam failure detection and recovery for deactivated secondary cell group (SCG)

Embodiments include methods for a first node that is configured for dual connectivity with a user equipment (UE) together with a second node of a wireless network. One of the first and second nodes provides a secondary cell group (SCG) for the UE. Such methods include a first unit of the first node receiving an indication of change in activation status of the SCG for the UE, and the first unit of the first node sending the indication of change in activation status to a second unit of the first node or to a first unit of the second node. Some variants include operations performed by the second unit of the first node. One of the first and second units can be a centralized unit (CU), while the other can be a distributed unit (DU). Other embodiments include first unit and first node apparatus configured to perform such methods.

Secondary cell group activation/deactivation in split node architecture

A method performed in a User Equipment, UE, for handling handover from a source access node to a target access node is provided. The UE receives () a handover command message from the source access node. The handover command message includes parameters required for deriving a security context associated with the target access node. The UE establishes () a radio connection with the target access node. When detecting () that a security context switching criterion is fulfilled, the UE stops () to use a security context associated with the source access node.

Conditional reconfiguration based on data traffic

A method performed by a network node, for controlling access of a first User Equipment (UE) and a second UE to a cell in a radio communications network is provided. The first UE is of a low complexity type, and wherein the second UE is of a regular type. A first association is assigned to the first UE. The first association associates the first UE with its low complexity type. A second association is assigned to the second UE. The second association associates the second UE with its regular type. The network node controls () access of the first UE and second UE by sending a rule to the first UE and second UE. The rule is related to access control that is different for UEs with different associations, for accessing to the radio communications network. The rule triggers the first UE to perform access barring check based on the first association and the obtained rule when initiating an access attempt to the cell, while the second UE performs access barring check based on the second association and the obtained rule.

Network node, user equipment and methods in a radio communications network

Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a wireless terminal and base station, and corresponding methods therein, for providing a handover for a subset of bearers associated with the wireless terminal. The subset of bearers is less than a total number of bearers associated with the wireless terminal. Thus, upon the completion of the handover procedure, at least one bearer will stay connected with a source base station.

Node and method for enabling a wireless terminal to be served by multiple cells in a communications network

A method performed by a source access node for performing data forwarding at handover of a UE from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless communications network is provided. When a criterion for data forwarding is fulfilled, the source access node obtains a trigger for downlink data forwarding. Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Embodiments herein relate to for example a method performed by a radio network node for handling a communication of a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication network. The radio network node transmits a handover command for handing over the UE, from a source cell to a target cell, wherein a security parameter for encrypting data communicated between the radio network node and the UE is retained during the handover. Furthermore, the radio network node maintains a sequence number status for reception and/or transmission of a signalling radio bearer of the UE during the handover from the source cell to the target cell, and/or at a fallback from the target cell to the source cell, when the UE triggers the fallback to the source cell.

The disclosure relates to a method in a wireless device for transmitting an uplink signalling message in a wireless communication network. The wireless device is connected to a first network element over at least a first and a second wireless link. The method comprises determining a transmission mode among alternative transmission modes for transmitting the uplink signalling message. The alternative transmission modes comprise: transmitting on the first wireless link; transmitting on the second wireless link; and transmitting on both the first and the second wireless links. The method also comprises transmitting the uplink signalling message according to the determined transmission mode. The present disclosure relates generally to communications, and more particularly to methods, computer program products, wireless devices and related nodes for Dual Active Protocol Stack (DAPS) handover reports. In one example embodiment, a method is performed by a wireless device. A DAPS handover is performed. Also, a type of handover report is determined. Furthermore, a handover report of the determined type is compiled and optionally stored. Still further, the handover report is transmitted to a network node operating as an access node.

The present disclosure relates to telecommunications. In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method performed by a User Equipment for handling Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Service Data Units (SDUs) when performing a Dual Active Protocol Stack (DAPS) handover of at least one radio bearer from a source access node to a target access node in a wireless communications network. The method comprises obtaining a trigger to perform the handover and establishing a radio connection for the at least one radio bearer with the target access node. An uplink transmission of PDCP SDUs is switched from the source to the target access node over the established radio connection.
