Embodiments herein relate to for example a method performed by a radio network node for handling a communication of a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication network. The radio network node transmits a handover command for handing over the UE, from a source cell to a target cell, wherein a security parameter for encrypting data communicated between the radio network node and the UE is retained during the handover. Furthermore, the radio network node maintains a sequence number status for reception and/or transmission of a signalling radio bearer of the UE during the handover from the source cell to the target cell, and/or at a fallback from the target cell to the source cell, when the UE triggers the fallback to the source cell.

Radio network node, user equipment (UE) and methods performed therein

The disclosure relates to a method in a wireless device for transmitting an uplink signalling message in a wireless communication network. The wireless device is connected to a first network element over at least a first and a second wireless link. The method comprises determining a transmission mode among alternative transmission modes for transmitting the uplink signalling message. The alternative transmission modes comprise: transmitting on the first wireless link; transmitting on the second wireless link; and transmitting on both the first and the second wireless links. The method also comprises transmitting the uplink signalling message according to the determined transmission mode. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method performed in the network element, and to the corresponding apparatus.

Uplink signaling for dual connectivity

The present disclosure relates generally to communications, and more particularly to methods, computer program products, wireless devices and related nodes for Dual Active Protocol Stack (DAPS) handover reports. In one example embodiment, a method is performed by a wireless device. A DAPS handover is performed. Also, a type of handover report is determined. Furthermore, a handover report of the determined type is compiled and optionally stored. Still further, the handover report is transmitted to a network node operating as an access node.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

The present disclosure relates to telecommunications. In one of its aspects, the disclosure concerns a method performed by a User Equipment for handling Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Service Data Units (SDUs) when performing a Dual Active Protocol Stack (DAPS) handover of at least one radio bearer from a source access node to a target access node in a wireless communications network. The method comprises obtaining a trigger to perform the handover and establishing a radio connection for the at least one radio bearer with the target access node. An uplink transmission of PDCP SDUs is switched from the source to the target access node over the established radio connection. A radio connection with the source access node is released and a PDCP status report is transmitted to the target access node for each configured radio bearer. The respective PDCP status report indicates PDCP Sequence Numbers (SNs) of missing PDCP SDUs.

Methods providing transmission of UL data to a source access node after establishing connection with a target access node and related wireless devices

A method performed by a User Equipment, UE, to perform handover from a source access node to a target access node is provided. The UE, the source access node andthe target access node are operating in a wireless communications network. The UE receives () a handover command message from the source access node. The UE establishes () a target radio connection with the target access node, and determines () whether or not a source cell release criterion is fulfilled. When the source cell release criterion is determined to be fulfilled, the UE releases () a source radioconnection with the source access node.

User equipment and methods therein for performing handover

A process allows a UE to acquire a System Frame Number (SFN) before accessing a target base station/node during a RACH-less handover. The SFN may be provided to the UE in various ways. For example, the SFN may be provided as part of a handover command message (e.g., RRCReconfiguration) or a master information block (MIB). In this manner, the UE acquires the SFN before accessing the target base station/node, which allows the target base station/node and the UE to effect certain timings for the handover. For example, the target base station/node and the UE may set time bounds in which the handover must occur. As another example, different types of uplink grants may be set.

The method includes associating at least one tag value with a bearer upon establishment of the bearer. A tag is attached to a packet when passing the packet to a lower layer. A method in a node is disclosed. The method comprises generating a tag for an associated data packet at a first layer, the generated tag indicating one or more parameters related to transmission of the associated data packet. The method comprises signaling the tag from the first layer to another layer. Handling of UE capability information in a mobile telecommunications network wherein an eNodeB receives information regarding the UE capability information from the UE and stores the information. The eNodeB sends the UE capability information to the EPC, i.e., to an MME, which receives and stores the UE capability information. When the UE transits from idle to active state, does an initial attach, or when a part of the UE capabilities have changed, it sends a message to the eNodeB regarding the update. The eNodeB forwards the message to the MME, which sends a response associated with the previously stored UE capability information to the eNodeB. The eNodeB decides whether the UE capabilities stored in the MME is up-to-date based on the message from the UE and the response from the MME. If the UE holds updated UE capabilities the eNodeB can request updated UE capability information from the UE.
