A fingerprint recognition device with a wake-up function is provided, which includes a signal wiring, a sensing array at least partially surrounded by the signal wiring, a first electrode, and a control circuit. The control circuit is coupled with the signal wiring, the first electrode, and the sensing array. The control circuit detects capacitance between the signal wiring and the first electrode in a first operation mode to generate a sensing result, and determines whether an object is on or near the sensing array according to the sensing result. If the control circuit determines that the object is on or near the sensing array, the control circuit switches from the first operation mode to a second operation mode. The control circuit drives the sensing array by the signal wiring to generate multiple sensing signals in the second operation mode, and calculates a sensed image according to the multiple sensing signals.

Fingerprint recognition device with wake-up function and driving method thereof

A touch display panel including an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate and a liquid crystal layer is provided. The active device array substrate includes a first substrate, a black matrix, a touch-sensing device layer, a dielectric layer and an active device array layer. The black matrix is disposed on the first substrate. The touch-sensing device layer is disposed on the first substrate to cover a portion of the black matrix. The dielectric layer covers the touch-sensing device layer. The active device array layer is disposed on the dielectric layer. The touch-sensing device layer and the active device array substrate are located at two opposite sides of the dielectric layer. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the active device array layer and the opposite substrate. Moreover, a fabricating method of the touch display panel is also provided.

Touch display panel and fabricating method thereof

A touch panel includes a substrate, a transparent sensor electrode pattern, a patterned compensation electrode, a passivation layer, a transparent shielding electrode and at least one connection structure. The substrate has a surface and includes a sensor region and a peripheral region. The transparent sensor electrode pattern is disposed on the surface of the substrate and in the sensor region. The patterned compensation electrode is disposed on the surface of the substrate and in the peripheral region, and the patterned compensation electrode and the transparent sensor electrode pattern are electrically isolated. The passivation layer is disposed on the surface of the substrate, covers the transparent sensor electrode pattern, and at least partially exposes the patterned compensation electrode. The transparent shielding electrode is disposed on the passivation layer. The connection structure is electrically connected to the transparent shielding electrode and the patterned compensation electrode exposed by the passivation layer.

Touch panel and touch display panel

A touch panel includes a substrate, scan lines, data output lines, a signal processing unit and touch sensing units. Each touch sensing unit includes a sensing electrode, a reference capacitor, an output circuit and a reset circuit. The sensing electrode is disposed in a breach of the sensing electrode. The reference capacitor, the output circuit and the reset circuit are disposed on the substrate and in the breach. The output circuit, the reset circuit, the reference capacitor and the sensing electrode are electrically coupled to a reference point. The output circuit is configured to output touch signals to the corresponding data output line. The signal processing unit is configured to obtain electric potential of the data output line and perform a corresponding processing step. When the touch sensing unit is out of working, the reference point is reset to a predetermined electric potential.

Touch panel

A sensing display device including a display panel and a sensing element is provided. The display panel includes at least a plurality of pixel units, and the pixel units are arranged along a primary direction. The sensing element is disposed on the pixel units and includes at least a plurality of sensor units. Each of the sensor units includes a mesh-pattern electrode, and the mesh-pattern electrode includes a plurality of first traces having conductivity. At least one of the first traces is substantially extended along a first direction, wherein a first angle is formed between the first direction and the primary direction, and the first angle is an acute angle.

Sensing display device

A touch panel display and method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The touch panel display includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a touch-sensing member, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate has a first surface and a second surface thereon. The second substrate has an element array and is disposed on the second surface of the first substrate. The touch-sensing member locates on the first surface of the first substrate. Furthermore, the touch-sensing member includes a conductive layer, a patterned electrode layer, and a protective layer. The patterned electrode layer is correspondingly located on the periphery of the first substrate. The protective layer covers the conductive layer, and the patterned electrode layer. The conductive layer locates between the protective layer and the first substrate. In addition, the liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first and the second substrate.

Touch-sensing display device and method for manufacturing the same

A display panel including a liquid crystal layer, several driving circuits, several flexible circuit films and at least one printed circuit board is provided. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between a first substrate and a second substrate, wherein the first substrate has a display area and at least one peripheral area adjacent to the display area, the second substrate has at least one common electrode. The driving circuits are disposed on the peripheral area in series. The flexible circuit films are electrically connected to the driving circuits. The printed circuit board is electrically connected to the flexible circuit films, so as to transmit at least two different common voltages to a portion of the common electrode via the flexible circuit films.

Display panel including a cascade driver and opto-electronic apparatus thereof

The present invention relates to a capacitive touch panel. In one embodiment, the capacitive touch panel includes a plurality of driving electrodes and a plurality of sensing electrodes spatially arranged in a matrix, and a driver electrically coupled to the touch sensor matrix and configured to generate a driving signal to synchronically drive one or more driving electrodes and the sensing electrodes, such that at least one sensing electrode is not driven by the driving signal. The remaining driving electrodes are grounded. The not-driven sensing electrodes sense and transmit a sensing signal of a touch.

Capacitive touch device and method of driving same

A touch panel display including a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium and a touch device is provided. The first substrate has a display area and a peripheral area. The first substrate has a pixel array in the display area and at least one integrated driving circuit in the peripheral area. The integrated driving circuit is electrically connected to the pixel array. The second substrate is disposed above the first substrate to cover the integrated driving circuit and the pixel array. The display medium is disposed on the pixel array and located between the first substrate and the second substrate. The touch device is disposed on the second substrate, and has a sensor element and a wiring element connected to the sensor element. The sensor element is located above the pixel array and the wiring element is located above at least a portion of the integrated driving circuit.

Touch panel display

A touch sensing display panel includes an active device array substrate, an opposite substrate, a display medium layer, a plurality of inner and outer electrode series. The opposite substrate is disposed over the active device array substrate and the display medium layer is disposed between the active device array substrate and the opposite substrate. The inner electrode series are disposed on the opposite substrate and extend along a first direction, wherein each inner electrode series includes inner ring electrodes electrically connected to each other. The outer electrode series are disposed on the opposite substrate and extend along a second direction, wherein each outer electrode series includes outer ring electrodes electrically connected to each other. Each inner ring electrodes is respectively surrounded by one of the outer ring electrodes, and the first direction is substantially perpendicular to the second direction. The present invention also provides a touch sensing substrate.

Touch sensing display panel and touch sensing substrate

The present invention relates to a multi-channel touch panel. In one embodiment, the multi-channel touch panel includes a plurality of driving electrodes spatial-separately arranged in the form of a matrix, a plurality of sensing electrodes associated with the plurality of driving electrodes such that each sensing electrode is surrounded by a corresponding driving electrode, N driving lines spatial-separately arranged along a row direction and M pairs of sensing lines spatial-separately arranged crossing over the N driving lines along a column direction, where each driving electrode in the row of the electrode matrix is electrically connected to each other by a corresponding driving line, and each odd sensing electrode in a column of the electrode matrix is electrically connected to each other by a first sensing line of the corresponding paired sensing lines, and each even sensing electrode in the column of the electrode matrix is electrically connected to each other by a second sensing line of the corresponding paired sensing lines.

Multi-channel touch panel

A repair line framework of liquid crystal display is provided. By disposing part of the repair line inside the integrated circuit chip so that the routing of part of the repair line will penetrate through the integrated circuit chip before returning to the panel, or by routing part of the repair line disposed on the substrate within the display region so that the routing is positioned under the black matrix of the color filter, the routing length of the repair line is shortened and the impedance of the repair line is reduced.

Repair line framework of liquid crystal display

A display device and method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a touch-sensing element, and a liquid crystal. The first substrate has a first surface and a second surface thereon. The second substrate has a pixel array and is disposed on the second surface of the first substrate. The touch-sensing element locates on the first surface of the first substrate. Furthermore, the touch-sensing element includes a conductive layer, a patterned electrode, and a passivation layer. The patterned electrode is correspondingly located on the periphery of the first substrate, and electrically connected to the conductive layer. The passivation layer covers the conductive layer and the patterned electrode. In addition, the liquid crystal is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.

A flat panel display and a chip bonding pad thereof are provided. The flat panel display includes a display panel, an FPC board, first and second source driving chips, and a control circuit board. First and second wires in a peripheral circuit region of the display panel extend from the underneath of the FPC board to two opposite sides of the display panel and electrically connect the FPC board. The first source driving chips electrically connect the FPC board through parts of the first wires. The second source driving chips electrically connect the FPC board through the second wires. The chip bonding pad is under one of the first and second source driving chips. The chip bonding pad includes a first dielectric layer having first through holes and a second dielectric layer having second and third through holes arranged alternately. The second through holes correspond to the first through holes.

Flat panel display and chip bonding pad

A flat-panel display device having test architecture is disclosed for disposing shorting bars without sacrificing wiring-on-array bus layout area of the outer-lead-bonding region. The flat-panel display device essentially includes a substrate having a plurality of driving integrated-circuit (IC) mounting areas, a plurality of signal lines and transmission lines disposed on the substrate, and a plurality of shorting bars disposed on the driving IC mounting areas. Each shorting bar is coupled to a corresponding signal line and a corresponding transmission line. Furthermore, in order to take out the laser-cutting process in the fabrication of the flat-panel display device for saving production cost, each driving IC mounting area is further disposed with a plurality of transistors for controlling the signal connections between the shorting bars and the signal lines, and also for controlling the signal connections between the shorting bars and the transmission lines.
