The disclosure provides a communication device. The communication device includes a ground conductor portion and a multi-antenna system. The multi-antenna system includes at least a first and a second resonant portion, each of which is disposed on the corresponding radiating edge of the ground conductor portion. Each of the resonant portions may have a loop resonant structure or may have an open-slot resonant structure, and has a resonant path. The electrically coupling portion makes the length of the resonant path less than or equal to 0.18 times the wavelength of the lowest operating frequency of the multi-antenna system, and thereby excites the corresponding radiating edge and forms a strong surface current distribution, and generates an effective radiating energy and at least one resonant mode, in which the effective radiating energy has a corresponding strongest radiation direction.

Communication device and method for designing multi-antenna system thereof

A communication device has an antenna structure including a substrate, a ground element, an open slot and a radiating metal portion. The ground element is disposed on a first surface of the substrate. The open slot is formed on the ground element and substantially parallel with an edge of the ground element, wherein the open slot at least generates a first resonant mode, and a distance between the open slot and the edge of the ground element is shorter than 0.05 wavelength of a center frequency of the first resonant mode. The radiating metal portion is disposed on a second surface of the substrate, wherein the open slot at least partially covers the radiating metal portion, the radiating metal portion at least generates a second resonant mode, and a feed point of the radiating metal portion is electrically coupled to a signal source on the substrate.

Communication device and antenna structure thereof

The present invention is related to a communication device which includes a ground element and an antenna system. The ground element includes a main ground plane and a protruded ground plane. The antenna system includes a first antenna and a second antenna. The first antenna includes a metal radiation element and is adjacent to the main ground plane of the ground element. The second antenna is a slot antenna and is formed in the protruded ground plane of the ground element. The protruded ground plane is adjacent to the first antenna.

Communication device and antennas with high isolation characteristics

A communication device includes a system circuit board, a ground plane, a first antenna, a second antenna, a first metal element, and a second metal element. The ground plane is disposed on the system circuit board. The first metal element is substantially located between the first antenna and the second antenna. The first metal element is coupled to the ground plane such that a system ground plane is formed. The second metal element is adjacent to the first metal element and substantially located between the first antenna and the second antenna. The second metal element is coupled to the system ground plane. The first antenna, the second antenna, and the first metal element are substantially located at an edge of the system circuit board.

A mobile communication device is provided. The mobile communication device includes a system circuit board with a surface, a ground plane having a monopole slot on the surface, a microstrip feedline, and a metal element, wherein the ground plane has a longer edge and a shorter edge. The monopole slot has a first operating band and a second operating band. The microstrip feedline is located on the system circuit board, wherein one end of the microstrip feedline passes over the monopole slot, and the other end of the microstrip feedline is connected to a signal source. The metal element is electrically connected to the shorter edge of the ground plane, and is substantially perpendicular to the ground plane. A distance between the open end of the monopole slot and the shorter edge of the ground plane where the metal element is connected is shorter than 0.05 wavelength of the lowest operating frequency of the first operating band.
