An optical projecting system includes a light-splitting unit for splitting composite source light into a plurality of composite light beam components, and a reflective color wheel rotatable about a rotation axis and including a plurality of multi-layer light-reflecting sections for further splitting each of the composite light beam components into a plurality of colored light beam components for subsequent modulation and projection. Each of the multi-layer light-reflecting sections includes a plurality of light-filtering layers stacked along the rotation axis, and each being capable of reflecting light within a predefined distinct wavelength range, and permitting transmission of light outside the predefined distinct wavelength range therethrough. Sequences of the light-filtering layers of an adjacent pair of the multi-layer light-reflecting sections are different from each other.

Optical projecting system

A reflective color wheel is adapted to receive composite source light provided by a light source, and includes a plurality of multi-layer light-reflecting sections for splitting the composite source light into a plurality of colored light beam components. Each of the multi-layer light-reflecting sections includes a plurality of light-filtering layers stacked along an axis. Each of the light-filtering layers of each of the multi-layer light-reflecting sections is capable of reflecting light within a predefined distinct wavelength range, and permits transmission of light outside the predefined distinct wavelength range therethrough. Sequences of the light-filtering layers of an adjacent pair of the multi-layer light-reflecting sections are different from each other.

Reflective color wheel

Measuring method and device providing a traveling path of light beam. The traveling path includes a front portion between a target and a prism unit, a refraction portion entering the prism unit and extending inside the prism unit and a first and a second rear portions positioned outside the prism unit and corresponding to the front portion. A visible light beam and an invisible light beam at the same time travel along the front portion. The visible light beam comes from the surface of the target while the invisible light beam is a laser beam coming from a laser transmitter. The laser beam travels along the same path as the visible light beam to reach the surface of the target. Therefore, very long parts of the traveling paths of the visible light beam and the invisible light beam coincide with each other and are commonly directed to a specific portion of the target. Accordingly, a better measurement precision can be achieved and the volume of the device can be reduced

Measuring method and device

A method is designed to adjust the distance between the central axes of two ocular lenses of an optical instrument. The method involves the use of a link mechanism to actuate two movable prisms and the two ocular lenses of the optical instrument to move respectively along a base surface such that the optical axes of effective diameters of the two movable prisms are coaxial with the optical axes of the corresponding ocular lenses.
