A liquid crystal display (LCD) overdriving method, an LCD overdriving device and an LCD are disclosed. The LCD overdriving method improves displaying quality and a response speed of the LCD comprising the following steps of: receiving by a scaling controller, a previous frame image grayscale value stored into a frame buffer of the scaling controller; receiving a next frame image grayscale value by the scaling controller and sending the previous frame image grayscale value and the next frame image grayscale value to a time schedule controller so that the time schedule controller looks up a lookup table and outputs an overdriving grayscale value. The present disclosure can effectively save the cost by eliminating the need of providing an additional frame buffer in the time schedule controller. Furthermore, as image grayscale values of only two pixels need to be stored in the time schedule controller, it can save more memory spaces.

LCD overdriving method and device and LCD

A tangent angle circuit is connected to a plurality of scan line driving circuits and comprises: a charging module integrated on a control board to receive input of a direct current (DC) driving voltage and output a cut-in voltage to charge the scan line driving circuits; and a plurality of discharging modules integrated on the scan line driving circuits respectively to control the corresponding scan line driving circuits to discharge. In the present invention, by distributing the discharging modules on each of the scan line driving circuits respectively, the burden of load discharged charges on the discharging modules is reduced to avoid occurrence of an overhigh temperature; and the discharging modules are spatially separated, which is further favorable for reducing the temperature, releasing the space of the control board and reducing the area of the control board.

An output compensation circuit and an output compensation method for an LCD data drive IC as well as an LCD comprising the same are disclosed. The output compensation circuit comprises a data drive IC, a plurality of first switch units and a plurality of delay control units. A plurality of output channels of the data drive IC each are connected with a corresponding row of pixel electrodes on a glass substrate via a data line respectively to output a charging signal. Each of the first switch units control the corresponding output channel according to a delay control signal generated by the corresponding delay control unit. Each of the delay control units is configured to generate the delay control signal-used to control the first switch unit to be turned on after a predetermined delay so that the charging time is the same for all the pixel electrodes.

Output compensation circuit and output compensation method for LCD data drive IC, and LCD

The invention discloses a COF packaging unit and a COF packaging tape. The COF packaging unit comprises COF baseband(s), IC Die(s) packaged on the COF baseband(s), and input end wires and output end wires connected with the IC Die(s); the input end wires and the output end wires are respectively provided with input terminals and output terminals at two edges of the COF baseband. In the invention, because the input terminals and the output terminals are pitched along the edges of the COF baseband, the length of the single COF packaging unit is set in accordance with the pitching requirement of the input end wires and the output end wires, so that the COF baseband can have sufficient area for wiring, to adapt to the requirement of large LCD panels. Thus, resources are reasonably integrated and used, equipment utilization rate is increased, material purchasing cost is saved, and economic benefits are increased.

A control circuit includes a power supply, a control IC, a liquid crystal panel, a driving integrated chip arranged between the control IC and the liquid crystal panel, and a number of voltage adjusting sub-circuits. The driving integrated chip includes a plurality of output ports for outputting a plurality of driving voltages respectively. Each voltage adjusting sub-circuit is arranged between the corresponding output port of the driving integrated chip and the liquid crystal panel for adjusting an initial value the voltage outputted from the corresponding output port before the driving voltage is transferred to the liquid crystal panel. With the voltage adjusting sub-circuits, the driving voltages received by the liquid crystal panel have the same value to avoid the color deviation of the images displayed in the liquid crystal panel. This improves the display effect of the liquid crystal panel under without increasing the layout area.

A chip on film (COF) is disclosed in the present disclosure, which comprises an adhesive base layer, a driving integrated circuit (IC), an adhesive layer and a copper layer. The driving IC is embedded on a surface of the adhesive base layer; the adhesive layer is located under the adhesive base layer; the copper layer is located under the adhesive layer. The adhesive base layer is formed with a heat and pressure spreading structure. A heat and pressure spreading structure is disposed on the adhesive base layer of the COF so that deformation or unevenness of the glass substrate in the bonded area can be avoided when the COF is thermally pressed to the glass substrate of the LCD. These guarantees the consistency between the bonded area and the unbounded area, the bonded area and the unbounded area of the glass substrate will have the same transmissivity and luminance.

Liquid crystal display and chip on film thereof

A light emitting diode (LED) dimming drive device, an LED dimming drive method and a liquid crystal display (LCD) are disclosed. The LED dimming drive device comprises a plurality of dimming control circuits each comprising one dimmer switch and a delay setting circuit for setting a different delay time for each dimming control circuits. Each of the dimming control circuits further comprises a clock delay circuit for receiving a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, timing according to the delay time, and outputting the PWM signal to the dimmer switch when the delay time expires. Different delay times can be used to control the output of PWM signals and further control the on or off of the dimmer switches. This can avoid the noises or electromagnetic (EM) interferences occurred by a large amount of energy transmitted into the LED paths when the dimmer switches is turned on.

LED dimming drive device, method and LCD

The present invention provides a display device and an LED backlight driving circuit thereof. The LED backlight driving circuit includes a plurality of LED light strings connected in parallel; a switch module including switches; a power module, and a switching control module. The switching control module includes: a driving unit connected to the switches; a current detection unit connected to the switches; an ON time detection unit connected to the driving unit; a reference unit, the reference unit supplying a reference value; multipliers, each of which has two input terminals respectively connected to the ON time detection unit and the current detection unit to receive a ON time value of a corresponding one of the switches and a voltage signal indicating the current of the switch; and comparison units, each of which has two input terminals respectively connected to the reference unit and an output terminal of a corresponding one of the multipliers. Each of the comparison units has an output terminal connected to the driving unit. The driving unit controls the ON time of the switch corresponding to the comparison unit according to an output result of the comparison unit.
