An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes pods. Each pod includes optical add-drop sub-systems. Each optical add-drop sub-system includes a first transmission module and a second transmission module. The first transmission modules of the optical add-drop sub-systems are connected to each other for forming a first transmission ring. The second transmission modules of the optical add-drop sub-systems are connected to each other for forming a second transmission ring. Each first transmission module includes a multiplexer and an optical signal amplifier. The multiplexer is connected to a Top-of-Rack switch. The multiplexer is configured to receive, through input ports, upstream optical signals from the Top-of-Rack switch, and combine the upstream optical signals into a composite optical signal. The upstream optical signals have wavelengths respectively. The optical signal amplifier, coupled to the multiplexer, is configured to amplify the composite optical signal and output an amplified composite optical signal.

Intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system

An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes a plurality of pods. Any one of the pods includes a plurality of optical add-drop sub-systems (OADS), which are configured to perform data transmission, respectively, through a plurality of Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches between a corresponding plurality of servers. Any one of the OADSs includes a first transmission module and a second transmission module. The first transmission module is configured to perform data transmission at a first frequency band, and the first transmission module of any one of the OADSs connected to the first transmission module of the adjacent OADSs to form a first transmission ring. The second transmission module is configured to perform data transmission at a second frequency band differed to the first frequency band, and the second transmission module of any one of the OADSs connected to the second transmission module of the adjacent OADSs to form a second transmission ring.

Intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system and network system control method

An intelligence-defind optical tunnel network system includes a first tier network and a second tier network. The first tier network includes multiple pods, any one of which includes multiple Optical Add-Drop Sub-systems (OADS) configured to transmit data between corresponding servers through ToR switches. The second tier network includes multiple Optical Switch Interconnect Sub-systems (OSIS). Any two of the OSISs transmit a corresponding lateral optical signal via a first line correspondingly. Any two adjacent OSISs are coupled to the OADSs in the same pod of the first tier via multiple optical paths respectively.

An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes multiple Optical Switch Interconnect Sub-systems (OSIS), in which a first OSIS is configured to transmit a first lateral transmission optical signal via a first line to a second OSIS, and transmit a second lateral transmission optical signal via a second line to the second OSIS. The second OSIS includes a failover sub-module and a micro-control unit. The failover sub-module is configured to output one of the first and the second lateral transmission optical signal based on a selective signal. The micro-control unit is configured to output the selective signal to the failover sub-module to control the failover sub-module output the second lateral transmission optical signal if a signal intensity of the first lateral transmission optical signal is lower than a threshold value.

An network system control method includes: planning an optical tunnel network according to a routing path table and transmitting a control command according to an optical tunnel network configuration of the optical tunnel network by a tunnel scheduling module, wherein the optical tunnel network includes multiple optical tunnels, and each of the optical tunnels includes a routing path and a wavelength; outputting a control signal to multiple optical switches and multiple top-of-rack switches according to the control command by a configuration managing module; receiving flow statistics of the dataflows of the optical tunnels from the top-of-rack switches, calculating dataflow rates of the dataflows and bandwidth usage rates of the optical tunnels, and transmitting a load notification when one of the bandwidth usage rates exceeds an preset interval by a bandwidth usage monitor; and replanning the optical tunnel network according to the load notification by the tunnel scheduling module.

Intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system controller and control method thereof

An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes a first pod and a controller. The first pod includes multiple Optical Add-Drop Sub-systems (OADS) configured to transmit data between corresponding servers through ToR switches. First transmission modules of the OADSs are connected to each other in ring to form the first transmission ring. Second transmission modules of the OADSs are connected to each other in ring to form the second transmission ring. The controller is configured to set the ToR switches in order to build the optical tunnel from a first OADS to a second OADS on the second transmission ring by the second transmission modules if a disconnection occurs to the optical tunnel from the first OADS to the second OADS on the first transmission ring.

An intelligence-defined optical tunnel network system includes multiple Optical Switch Interconnect Sub-systems (OSIS). Any one of the OSIS includes a receiving sub-module, an output sub-module, an interconnection fabric module and an optical switching sub-module. The receiving module is configured to receive multiple first and third upstream optical signals from first and second Optical Add-Drop Sub-systems (OADS) corresponding to the first and the second pods. The output sub-module is configured to output multiple second and fourth downstream optical signals to the first and second OADS. The interconnect circuit sub-module is configured to connect adjacent two of the OSISs and any two of the OSISs transmit a corresponding lateral transmission optical signal via a first line correspondingly. The optical switching sub-module is configured to transmit optical signals between the receiving sub-module, the output sub-module, and the interconnection fabric module.

A scheduling method for wireless network is provided. The scheduling method is executed by a base station and includes the steps of estimating a mean arrival rate of data to be transmitted through a first wireless network by a plurality of user equipments (UEs) through a second wireless network when the UEs are connected to the base station and in need of transmitting data through the first wireless network, determining a cluster size and dividing the UEs into a plurality of clusters according to the mean arrival rate, and notifying each UE the number of the clusters and the identification (ID) of the cluster accommodating the UE through the second wireless network. The number of the UEs in each cluster is not greater than the cluster size.

Base station and scheduling method for wireless network

An optical data center network system including multiple tier-1 optical switches, multiple tier-2 optical switches and multiple tier-3 optical switches is provided. A pod is formed by the tier-1 optical switches connected to each other through ribbon fibers. A macro pod is formed by the tier-2 optical switches connected to each other through ribbon fibers, and each of the tier-2 optical switches is connected to all of the tier-1 optical switches in one pod. The tier-3 optical switches are connected to each other through ribbon fibers, and each of the tier-3 optical switches is connected to all of the tier-2 optical switches in one macro pod. Each optical switch in each tier is implemented by using the Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) as a basic element, which has been commercialized numerously.

Optical data center network system and optical switch

An optical wavelength division node includes an optical splitter, a plurality of optical circulators, and a colorless light source module. The optical splitter receives and splits a downstream signal light source into a first-path and a second-path signal light source. The optical circulator in a first-order position receives and transmits the first-path signal light source to an optical network unit in a first-order position, and receives a return signal and passes it to a next optical circulator, and finally the optical circulator in a last-order position receives the return signal and transmits it. The colorless light source module receives the second-path signal light source and the return signal transmitted by the optical circulator in a last-order position, and uses the second-path signal light source to modulate the return signal to generate an upstream signal light source to be transmitted to the optical line terminal by the optical splitter.

Optical wavelength division node

A signal transmission system for a peer-to-peer optical network. The system includes an optical line terminal, an optical distribution node, and a plurality of optical network units. The optical network unit and the optical distribution node are connected in a tree distribution having an ordered relation. The optical line terminal transmits optic signals via the optical distribution node to a first ordered optical network unit, to allow the first ordered optical network unit to process the optic signals and to generate combined optic signals, which are transmitted to a next ordered optical network unit via the optical distribution node. The above steps are iterated, until a last ordered optical network unit transmits combined optic signals to the optical line terminal via the optical distribution node.

Signal transmission method for peer-to-peer optical network and system thereof

A passive optical network (PON) system supporting wireless communication includes an optical line terminal (OLT) configured on a central office, an optical distribution network (ODN), and a plurality of optical network units (ONUs) respectively configured on user ends. The ODN is connected to the OLT and the ONUs in a one-to-many manner. The OLT sends a downstream optical signal to the ODN, and receives an upstream optical signal. The ODN circularly guides the optical signal to each ONU. Each ONU receives and reflects the downstream optical signal, processes the received downstream optical signal, receives and processes the upstream optical signal, carries an electrical signal to be uploaded into the upstream optical signal, and carries data received by a remote antenna into the upstream optical signal. Through the above architecture, the PON system supports wireless communication.

Passive optical network system supporting wireless communication

There is disclosed an QoS-oriented burstification method supporting various grades of burstification delay guarantee. For the arrival packets, the packets are sequentially inserted in a sequence of windows on weight basis, thereby forming a queue. The window size together with the weight of each flow determines a maximum number of packets of each flow in a window. For the departure packets, there is generated a burst consisting of a plurality of packets from the head of the queue when either a total number of packets reaches a maximum burst size or a burst assembly timer expires.

QoS-oriented burstification method supporting various grades of burstification delay guarantee

The inventive system mainly includes a synchronization marker at a transmitting site and a synchronization forcer at a receiving site connecting to each other via computer networks. The synchronization marker performs the sequential mark marking of frames per every marking interval. The synchronization forcer regulates the play time of the audio signals and their corresponding video signals according to their sequential marks. The inventive system can determine precisely about the minimum marking interval yielding a bounded skew requirement. Consequently, the invention satisfies any given skew requirement under various buffer size and traffic arrivals while imposing minimal overhead.
