A projecting apparatus includes a projecting device, an image-capturing device and a processing device. The projecting device projects a reversible structured light code onto a surface. The image-capturing device captures the reversible structured light code projected onto the surface and obtains image data. The processing device is coupled to the projecting device and the image-capturing device. The processing device receives the image data, generates three-dimensional point cloud information by performing decoding on the image data, and obtains scanning shift information corresponding to the projecting device according to the three-dimensional point cloud information and three-dimensional information corresponding to the surface.

Provided are an image transform method and an image transform network. The method is for the image transform network including an image generator, a transform discriminator and a focus discriminator, and includes: generating a transformed image according to an un-transformed image and focus information by the image generator; computing a transform discrimination value according to the transformed image by the transform discriminator; computing a value of a first generator loss function and updating the image generator by the image generator; generating a focus discrimination value according to the un-transformed image, the transformed image, and the focus information by the focus discriminator; and computing a value of a second generator loss function according to the focus discrimination value and updating the image generator according to the value of the second generator loss function by the image generator.

An electronic device, an iris recognition method and a non-volatile computer-readable medium are provided. A processor in the electronic device obtains a first and second iris images, and calculates a plurality of first and second feature mark boxes that are non-uniformly arranged according to the first and second iris images. The processor uses the first feature mark boxes to obtain a first and second image features from the first and second iris images respectively, and compares the first and second image features to obtain a first recognition result. The processor uses the second feature mark boxes to obtain a third and fourth image features from the second and first iris images respectively, and compares the third and fourth image features to obtain a second recognition result. The processor determines a similarity degree of the first and second iris images according to the first and second recognition results.

An image encoding system and an image encoding method are provided. The image encoding system comprises a relation computing unit and an embedded unit. The relation computing unit receives a plurality of view-angle images each comprising a plurality of pixels, and calculates a relative relationship between pixels according to their colors and locations of the pixels to generate a plurality of encoding images. The embedded unit respectively embeds the encoding images in the view-angle images to generate a plurality of embedded images.

The recognition circuit recognizes a head position and a control point position of an operator. The mapping circuit dynamically adjusts the operating boundary according to the head position, the control point position and a display boundary, and calculates the cursor position on a display according to the control point position, the operating boundary and the display boundary, wherein the cursor position remains on a imagine line passing through the head position and the control point position.

A method of detecting feature points of an object in a system for motion detection includes obtaining a first image of the object from a first camera and a second image of the object from a second camera, extracting a foreground image from each of the first image and the second image, based on an assumption that the foreground image is a T-pose image, segmenting the foreground image into a first set of sections, identifying a first set of feature points associated with the first set of sections, obtaining a T-pose image with a set of predetermined feature points, and determining whether the foreground image is a T-pose image by comparing the first set of feature points with the set of predetermined feature points.

Method of detecting feature points of an object in a system for motion detection

An image depth information refreshing method applied to an image depth information refreshing device is disclosed. The image depth information refreshing device includes a storage unit and an arithmetic logic unit. The storage unit stores a previous depth diagram corresponding to a previous image. The image depth information refreshing method includes the following steps. The arithmetic logic unit divides a current image captured by an image capturing unit into multiple image blocks. The arithmetic logic unit calculates a depth reference value of each image block according to the previous depth diagram, and determines a weight of each image block according to the depth reference values. The arithmetic logic unit determines a refreshing frequency of each image block according to the weights. The arithmetic logic unit respectively refreshes the image block according to the refreshing frequencies of the image blocks, and generates a current depth diagram corresponding to the current image.

A computing device in a system for motion detection comprises an image processing device to determine a motion of an object of interest, and a graphical user interface (GUI) module to drive a virtual role based on the motion determined by the image processing device. The image processing device comprises a foreground extracting module to extract a foreground image from each of a first image of the object of interest taken by a first camera and a second image of the object of interest taken by a second camera, a feature point detecting module to detect feature points in the foreground image, a depth calculating module to calculate the depth of each of the feature points based on disparity images associated with the each feature point, the depth calculating module and the feature point detecting module identifying a three-dimensional (3D) position of each of the feature points, and a motion matching module to identify vectors associated with the 3D positions of the feature points and determine a motion of the object of interest based on the vectors.

The method for estimating a location of an occluded skeleton comprises the following steps: Firstly, a trace of a reference central point of a body is estimated according to a plurality of continuously moving images. Next, a human movement state is estimated according to the trace and a motion information of the continuously moving images free of skeleton occlusion. Then, a possible range of the occluded skeleton for maintaining human balance is calculated according to the human movement state. Afterwards, a current motion level of the occluded skeleton is predicted according to a historic motion information of the occluded skeleton. Lastly, the location of the occluded skeleton is estimated according to the current motion level and the possible range.

An object-end positioning method is provided for positioning lower ends of two limbs of an object. In the method, a foreground processing is performed on an original image to obtain a foreground image. A number of turning points are obtained according to the foreground image, wherein connection of the turning points forms a polygonal curve. Each turning point is classified to be a convex or concave point according to an included angle between lines connecting the turning point to two adjacent turning points. A number of selected convex points and selected concave points are selected. Two of the selected convex points are selected as two temporary ends. Connection of the two temporary ends and a selected concave point located between the two temporary ends forms a triangle. Two positioning ends for positioning the lower ends of the two limbs of the object are determined according to the two temporary ends.

Object-end positioning method and system

A method for tracking positions of human extremities is disclosed. A left image of a first extremity portion is retrieved using a first picturing device and an outline candidate position of the first extremity portion is obtained according to feature information of the left image. A right image of the first extremity portion is retrieved using a second picturing device and a depth candidate position of the first extremity portion is obtained according to depth information of the right image. Geometry relations between the outline candidate position and the depth candidate position and a second extremity portion of a second extremity position are calculated to determine whether a current extremity position of the first extremity portion is required to be updated.
