A method of forming a film is provided, which includes providing a sheet from a polyamide composition; and biaxial stretching of the sheet to form a film, wherein the polyamide composition includes a blend of a first polyamide and a second polyamide. The first polyamide has a repeating unit of and the second polyamide has repeating units of The second polyamide is a crystalline random copolymer. The sheet of the polyamide composition is biaxially stretched at a rate of 20 mm/sec to 100 mm/sec.

An optical diffusion structure includes an optical diffusion structure comprising a plurality of convex portions and a plurality of concave portions. Each convex portion is adjacent to a plurality of concave portions and each concave portion is adjacent to a plurality of convex portions. The convex portions, the concave portions and each junction of the convex and concave portions have a curvature different from 0. The optical diffusion structure further includes a diffusion plate having a first surface, wherein the optical diffusion structure is formed on the first surface, and the convex portions are arranged in a two dimensional array along a first direction and a second direction, and the concave portions are arranged in a two dimensional array along a third direction and a fourth direction.

A composite lens structure is disclosed. The composite lens structure includes a diffusion plate and an optical structure formed on the diffusion plate. Composite lens structure

A plastic liquid crystal display device and a fabrication method thereof. A plastic substrate having a plurality of bumps on at least one surface thereof is integrally molded. A glass transition temperature (T) of the plastic substrate is greater than 150&#xb0; C. A melt flow index (MFI) of the plastic substrate is greater than 2. Plastic liquid crystal display device and method for manufacturing the same

An improved injection/compression molding process for the manufacturing of high quality concave optical lenses of thin thickness. A thermoplastic material is injected into a mold cavity of an injection/compression molding machine, the mold cavity is designed to have adjustable thickness and is initially set at a thickness greater than the lens to be produced. After the amount of the plastic injected fills the enlarged cavity, the thickness of the cavity is gradually reduced by exerting a compressional force on the thermoplastic material inside the mold cavity. During the compression stage, the injection continues and the excess thermoplastic material is squeezed into an overflow pocket inside the injection/compression mold. The injection apparatus can be switched into a pressure holding mode during and after the compression stage to prevent any backflow and post-injection shrinkage. The process disclosed in the present invention offers many significant advantages over prior art processes, including avoidance of the commonly encountered weld line and birefrigence problem, substantially improved quality control, elimination of external heating or cooling needs, increased production rate, and reduced production cost.
