In an embodiment, a distance measuring device comprises an absolute distance measuring module, a tracking module, a two-axis rotating mechanism and a signal controlling and processing module to track an object and measure a distance between the distance measuring device and the object. The absolute distance measuring module measures an absolute distance between the distance measuring device and the object. The absolute distance measuring module and the tracking module are combined by using a dichroic beam splitter, and then all of them are further disposed in the two-axis rotating mechanism. When the object moves, a tracking optical path changes accordingly. A quadrant photodetector of the absolute distance measuring module detects the changes to avoid the distance measuring optical path being interrupted, and generates and transmits the signal to the signal controlling and processing module for controlling the two-axis rotating mechanism to rotate, thereby tracking the object.

Distance measuring device and distance measuring method thereof

An optical communication device and an optical communication method are provided. The optical communication device includes a laser source, an optical amplifier, and an optical signal generating chip. The laser source generates a laser beam. The optical amplifier is coupled to the laser source and amplifies light intensity of the laser beam in a specific wavelength band. The optical signal generating chip includes a micro-resonator and a modulation module. The micro-resonator is coupled to the optical amplifier and generates a multi-wavelength frequency comb according to the amplified laser beam. The modulation module is coupled to the micro-resonator and modulates a communication signal set to generate a plurality of optical modulated signals according to the multi-wavelength frequency comb.

Optical communication device and optical communication method

A movement device having a Stewart platform has a supporting body disposed on a horizontal plane, a movable platform, and four extensible links rotatably connected between the supporting body and the platform. The extension directions of the upper extensible links are in parallel with one another. When the movement device is in an equilibrium condition, the upper extensible links lie in a first common plane. When the movement device is in an equilibrium condition, vertical projections of the extension directions of the extensible links on a normal plane slant toward the horizontal plane; the vertical projection of the extension direction of the first bottom extensible link slants toward a first direction whereas the vertical projections of the extension directions of the other three extensible links slant toward a second direction, which is opposite to the first direction.

Movement device having a stewart platform

A navigation environment establishing method for an intelligent moving-assistance apparatus moving in a movement area having a plurality of regions includes steps of: a navigation map is set, and the content of the navigation map including the relative locality of the regions. A current data indicating a current region is set. At least one target data indicating an available target region is set. Then, a navigation data is generated. The content of the navigation data includes the current region and a first target region, wherein the region where the intelligent moving-assistance apparatus first arrive when moving from the current region to the first target region according to a predetermined path is in a first direction with respect to the current region. Subsequently, the navigation data is recorded into an image identification tag. Finally, the image identification tag is placed in the current region.
