A deflector for use in a ball screw is composed of a main body and a junction member connected with the main body to form a channel having a first guide groove and two second guide grooves formed at two opposite sides of the first guide groove. Each of the second guide grooves has two walls extending outward from the first guide groove. Each two of the walls have a conjunction formed therebetween. The vertical section of the channel can define an extending axis passing through centers of the two conjunctions. At least one of the walls of each second guide groove is not parallel to the extending axis. In light of the above features, the roller chain can avoid wear and tear to prolong its service life thereof. Besides, the mold for forming the deflector can be designed to be structurally subject to mold release, such that the production efficiency can be increased.

A chain for a motion transmission apparatus comprises a plurality of spacers and two links two links at both sides of the respective spacers for connecting spacers together. The spacers are equidistantly spaced from one another by a receiving space which is longitudinally asymmetrical and provided for holding rolling elements.

A motion transmission apparatus with a chain, wherein the chain comprises a plurality of spacers and links for connecting the spacers together, each of the spacers is provided at both sides thereof in an axial direction of an elongated shaft with a plurality of holding protrusions and inclined at an angle from a center of each of the spacers toward a peripheral edge thereof in such a manner that a distance between outer ends of two opposite holding surfaces on two neighboring spacers is smaller than a diameter of the rolling elements, the holding protrusions of the chain are annularly arranged in 120 degree intervals in such a manner that the holding protrusions on the same side of each spacer are alternatively arranged in a direction which is vertical to the links, and two of the holding protrusions are arranged in a line parallel to a direction of the links.
