A frameless display device includes a plurality of display units. Each of the display units includes a display panel including a display surface and a non-display surface opposite to the display surface, a frame formed on the edge of the display panel surrounding the display panel, a backlight module corresponding to the non-display surface including at least one backlight, an image elongated element corresponding to the display surface. Each of the display units further includes a light compensating module. The light compensating module is adjacent to the frame and includes at least one light panel and at least one compensating light. The light compensating module further includes a gap. The gap is defined in the light panel corresponding to the backlight.

Frameless display device

An optical film to visually reduce frame size of individual display units within a single large display includes four film portions connected to each other to form a rectangular frame of each individual display unit. Each film portion has strip-shaped micro-structures of triangular cross-section, and includes a bottom surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The bottom surfaces of the micro-structures are connected to each other. The first side surfaces and the second side surfaces are obliquely connected, the second side surface of one micro-structure being at the outermost side of each film portion. Angle &#x3b8;between the first side and bottom surface of each micro-structure is less than angle &#x3b8;between the first side surface and the second side surface and the sum of first and second angles &#x3b8;and &#x3b8;is less than 90&#xb0;.

Optical film and display device with narrow frame

A lens has a plurality of first, second, and third optical regions. The first, second and third optical regions are arranged in sequential order. Space angle defined between each first, second, and third optical region and an optical axis of the lens are different from each other. Each first, second and third optical region includes a refracting surface and a reflecting surface which are arranged in different planes. The invention also relates to an LED module having the lens described above.

LED module and lens mounted thereon

An LED device includes a plurality of LED dies, a plurality of lens, a diffuser plate and a collimator lens. The collimator lens is positioned between the diffuser plate and the lens. The collimator lens includes a plurality of fresnel lenses. A focus of each fresnel lens is equal to a distance between a plane where the fresnel lens places and a light outputting surface of the LED die. Light emitted from the LED dies is adjusted to collimator light and striking perpendicularly into the diffuser plate.

A lens has a first, second and third optical region. The first, second and third optical region are arranged in sequential order. Space angle defined between each first, second and third optical region, and an optical axis of the lens are different from each other. An LED light module, which has an LED chip and the lens is also provided. The light emitted from the LED chip passes the reflecting surface and refractive surface and radiates from a top of the lens.

A display device includes display units arranged in an array and a light guide unit. Each display unit includes a display panel including a display surface configured for displaying an image, and a frame located adjacent to edges of the display surface. The light guide unit includes a lower light guide and an upper light guide. The lower light guide is located above the display units, and includes first gratings. Each first grating corresponds to a side of one of the display unit and is configured for refracting light emitted from the display surface towards the corresponding side of the display unit. The upper light guide is located above the lower light guide and includes second gratings. Each second grating corresponds to one of the first gratings and is configured for reversely refracting light transmitted through the first grating towards a center of the display unit.

Display device capable of displaying a continuous image

A direct type backlight module includes an optical film unit and a light emitting unit. The light emitting unit includes a laser sources, transreflective components, reflective components, and phosphors. Each laser source corresponds to a number of the transreflective components and one of the reflective components arranged at an optical path of a laser beam emitted from the laser source in sequence. The transreflective component transmits part of the irradiated laser beam and reflects the other part of the laser beam. The reflective component reflects the irradiated laser beam. The phosphors correspond to the transreflective components and the reflective components one-to-one and emit out white light when irradiated by the laser beam reflected by the transreflective components and the reflective components. The white light transmits through the optical film unit.

Direct type backlight module and liquid crystal display device having same

A vehicle lighting device includes a housing, a first receiving cavity recessed inwardly from a center of a front side of the housing, a first light source received in the first receiving cavity, an annular second receiving cavity recessed in the front side of the housing and surrounding the first receiving cavity, a second light source received in the second receiving cavity, a first envelope fixed in the front side of the housing and covering the first receiving cavity, and an annular second envelope fixed in the front side of the housing and covering the second receiving cavity. An inner face of the second receiving cavity is a bending face including a plurality of reflecting facets for reflecting light emitted from the second light source. Every two adjacent reflecting facets intersect with an angle. The second light source faces at least one reflecting facet distant from the second envelope.

Vehicle lighting device

A light source module includes a double refraction prism, an optical plate, a first laser source, a second laser source, and a third laser source. A first laser beam emitted from the first laser source and a second laser beam emitted from the second laser source are mixed by the double refraction prism and these are mixed together with a third laser beam emitted from the third laser source by the optical plate.

Light source module using lasers as light source

A vehicle headlamp includes a first LED light source, a first light guide plate optically coupled to the first LED light source, a second LED light source, a second light guide plate optically coupled to the second LED light source, and a light barrier sheet interposed between the first and second light guide plates. The first light guide plate is configured to guide light emitted from the first LED light source onto a predetermined area thereby creating a second light distribution pattern. The second light guide plate is configured to guide light emitted from the second LED light source onto a predetermined area thereby creating a second light distribution pattern. The light barrier sheet is configured to prevent light transmission between the first and second light guide plates.

Vehicle headlamp

A backlight module and a display device having the backlight module are disclosed. The backlight module includes tricolor light sources, a light combining unit, a linear reflection unit, and a two-dimension reflection unit. The light combining unit is configured to combine tricolor beams to a white light beam. The linear reflection unit includes a plurality of first micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) reflectors arranged in a line, and is configured to periodically reflect white light beams. The two-dimension reflection unit includes a plurality of second MEMS reflectors arranged in rows and columns, and the second MEMS reflectors in each row faces and interacts with a first MEMS reflector. The second MEMS reflectors are configured to periodically reflect light beams emitted from the linear reflection unit, to form a surface light source.

Backlight module and display device

A display device includes a display panel, a frame, and a light guide member. The display panel includes a display surface configured for displaying an image. The frame is located adjacent to edges of the display surface. The light guide member includes a plurality of optical fibers arranged in an array. Each optical fiber includes a light incident end and a light emitting end opposite to the light incident end. The light incident ends of the plurality of optical fibers form a light incident surface only covering the display surface, and the light emitting ends of the plurality of optical fibers form a light emitting surface completely covering the frame.

Display wall capable of displaying a continuous image and display device of same

A backlight module includes a number of laser units, a number of diffraction units, and a number of diverging units. Each laser unit includes three colored lasers arranged in a first straight line. The three lasers respectively emit red, green, and blue light. Each of the diffraction units includes three diffraction elements. The three diffraction elements are configured to diffract the light along the first straight line. Each of the diverging units is substantially an elongated semi-cylinder, and the longitudinal direction is along the first straight line. The diverging units diffract the three colors of light along a direction which is perpendicular to the direction of the first straight line.

Backlight module and liquid crystal display device using same

A display device includes a first bitable display, a second display, and a bitable electrochromic member sandwiched between the first bitable display and the second display. The first bitable display is switchable between a transparent status and a displaying status. The electrochromic member is switchable between a transparent status and a color status under predetermined voltage, with a response time of the second display being less than 30 milliseconds.
