A backlight module includes a light guide plate, a light source, and an optical film. The light guide plate has a light incident surface and a light exiting surface opposite to the light incident surface, in which the light exiting surface has a normal line. The light source is adjacent to the light incident surface. The optical film is disposed to the light exiting surface and includes plural parallel prisms and plural microstructures. An extending direction of each of the prisms is perpendicular to the normal line, and each of the prisms faces the light exiting surface of the light guide plate. Each of the microstructures is located on a surface of the optical film which faces away from the light guide plate. Each of the microstructures has a pyramid structure with plural facets. The prisms are located between the microstructures and the light exiting surface.

Display device and backlight module thereof

A backlight module and a display device are provided. The backlight module includes an optical film and a light source. The optical film includes a main body and optical structures. The main body has a light-emitting surface, an optical surface, a first side surface and a second side surface. The optical structures are disposed on the main body. Each of optical structures has a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is inclined relative to the optical surface. A first angle is formed between the first surface and the optical surface. The second surface is inclined relative to the optical surface, and a second angle is formed between the second surface and the optical surface. The first angles and the second angles are acute angles, and the first angles of the optical structures vary along a first direction from the first side surface to the second side surface.

Backlight module and display device

A light guide plate includes a main body, first stripe structures and second stripe structures. The main body has an optical surface, a light-incident surface and an opposite light-incident surface. The main body has a hole passing through the optical surface, and the optical surface has a first region and a second region which are separated by an imaginary line. The imaginary line intersects the hole. The hole has a first side near the opposite light-incident surface and a second side near the light-incident surface. A portion of each of the first stripe structures is disposed in the first region. The second stripe structures are disposed in the second region. An extending direction of at least one portion of each first stripe structure is vertical to the light-incident surface, and a portion of the second stripe structures extends to the first side of the hole near the opposite light-incident surface.

Light guide plate, backlight module and display device

A light guide plate, a backlight module and a display device are provided. The light guide plate includes a main body, first stripe microstructures, second stripe microstructures and third stripe microstructures. The main body includes a light incidence surface and an optic surface having a first area and a second area. The first area is disposed nearer the light incidence surface. The first stripe microstructures and the second stripe microstructures are respectively disposed on the first area and the second area. Each of the first stripe microstructures and the second stripe microstructures extends along the direction vertical to the light incidence surface. A width of one end of each second stripe microstructure near the light incidence surface is smaller than a width of the other end away from the light incidence surface. The third stripe microstructures are distributed on a partial or the whole region of the optic surface.

A light guide plate with multi-directional structures includes a main body, a plurality of first microstructures and a plurality of second microstructures. The main body includes a light-incident surface, a light-emitting surface and a reflecting surface. The light-incident surface connects the light-emitting surface and the reflecting surface. The first microstructures are disposed on the light-emitting surface or the reflecting surface and arranged along a first extending direction. The second microstructures are disposed on the light-emitting surface or the reflecting surface and arranged along a second extending direction. The second microstructures and the first microstructures are disposed on the same plane and intersect with each other. Each of the second microstructures is a single stripe pattern, and has a width which becomes gradually smaller from one end of the second microstructure near the light-incident surface to the other end of the second microstructure away from the light-incident surface.
