Systems and methods for securing data are disclosed. An administrative system may create a secure configuration. The secure configuration may disable functionality of a managed node that compromises sensitive data. However, the secure configuration may not prevent all user access to the managed node. The administrative system may deploy the secure configuration to at least one managed node. The administrative system may cause the secure configuration to be applied to the at least one managed node.

A method for redirecting a computing device from a first network to a second network is described. A plurality of network ports is monitored. A communication from a computing device is detected at one of the network ports. Information is sent to a first server and a second server regarding the identity of the computing device. A command is sent to the first server to send a request to the computing device to renew the connection with the second server. The computing device is redirected to a second network from a first network.

Systems and methods for monitoring network ports to redirect computing devices to a protected network

A method for detecting unauthorized or unsecured access points is disclosed. At least one node of a computer network having a wireless network interface is identified. At least one of the identified nodes is requested to scan for detectable wireless access points. A listing of identified wireless access points is utilizing information gathered through at least one of the scans. An inventory of authorized wireless access points is formulated. The listing is compared to the inventory to identify unauthorized wireless access points. Also, security information may be gathered and analyzed for identified wireless access points.

Systems and methods for detection of unauthorized or unsecured access points

A method and system for polling an administrative system for one or more managed nodes is described. The administrative system is connected to a managed node. The administrative system is polled for data to be downloaded. A node list is sent to the administrative system. A connect list is received from the administrative system. The connect list is multicast to the one or more managed nodes.

Systems and methods for increasing the scalability in a client/server environment

In an exemplary embodiment, an out-of-band management stack that is located on a managed node receives at least one management command from an out-of-band management application that is located on an administrative system. A monitoring agent on the managed node obtains the at least one management command. For example, the out-of-band management stack may forward the at least one management command to the monitoring agent. Alternatively, the out-of-band management stack may write the at least one management command to a designated location on the managed node, and the monitoring agent may read the at least one management command from the designated location. In response to obtaining the at least one management command, the monitoring agent processes and carries out the at least one management command.

Systems and methods for using out-of-band protocols for remote management while in-band communication is not available

Systems and methods for protecting sensitive files from unauthorized access are disclosed. An exemplary method involves detecting a connection of the computing device to an electronic device. An authorized connection list is accessed. It is then determined whether the connection is identified in the authorized connection list. If the connection is not identified in the authorized connection list, the method involves accessing sensitive file information which identifies at least one sensitive file stored on the computing device, and preventing access to the at least one sensitive file identified by the sensitive file information.

Systems and methods for protecting sensitive files from unauthorized access

Elements of hierarchical data are obtained. Metadata, which describes a data structure, is read from a relational database and examined to determine if there is a place in the data structure for the elements. If the elements do not fit within the data structure, the relational database is automatically modified to accommodate the elements. The modifications are effected by modifying the metadata of the relational database.
