This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for CRC scrambling for SCI in sidelink communication. A wireless transmitter may be configured to scramble bits of SCI based on a scrambling sequence and transmit the SCI to a wireless receiver. The wireless receiver may receive the SCI having CRC bits scrambled with the scrambling sequence and attempt to decode the SCI, including descrambling the CRC bits of the SCI. The SCI may include a first portion of SCI transmitted in a PSCCH and a second portion of SCI transmitted in a PSSCH.

CRC scrambling for SCI in NR sidelink

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A distributed unit (DU) may output to a radio unit (RU), a data waveform and an initial resource allocation for the data waveform. The RU may generate and transmit to the DU a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for the data waveform and a peak power value for a transmission time interval (TTI). Based on the PAPR and the peak power value, the DU generate and forward to the RU a multiplexed signal. The multiplexed signal may include the data waveform associated with a first resource allocation and comprising a multi-tone energy waveform associated with a second resource allocation. In some examples, the multi-tone energy waveform may be used for power harvesting operations at one or more ambient wireless devices. The RU may transmit the multiplexed signal to one or more wireless devices.

Power harvesting using a multi-tone energy waveform

Disclosed are systems and techniques for wireless communications. For example, a first network device can transmit, to second network device(s), a first information signal including information indicating a frequency for a backscattered signal. The first network device can transmit, to a third network device, a second information signal including information indicating a frequency shift for shifting a reference signal to produce the backscattered signal. The first network device can transmit the reference signal to the third network device. The first network device can select, based on channel reports received from the second network device(s), the energy harvesting waveform and at least one second network device for providing the energy harvesting waveform to the third network device. The first network device can transmit, to the at least one second network device, a scheduling signal including scheduling instructions to transmit the energy harvesting waveform to the third network device.

Wireless power transfer from a user equipment (UE)

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Described techniques provide for signaling for configuring energy scheduling requests or communications scheduling requests from a semi-passive user equipment (UE) to the network. A semi-passive UE may transmit a message indicating a UE class type to a serving network entity (e.g., indicating that the UE is a semi-passive UE). The network entity may transmit control signaling indicating a configuration for the UE to transmit energy scheduling requests or communications scheduling requests. The UE may transmit an energy scheduling request or communications scheduling request in accordance with the configuration. In response to an energy scheduling request, the network entity may indicate a resource for an energy transfer signal, and the UE may monitor for and receive an energy transfer signal in the indicated resource. In response to a communications scheduling request, the network entity may indicate a resource for a data transmission.

Device triggering backscatter communications

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multi-carrier on-off keying communications. A method for wireless communications by an apparatus includes receiving a signal comprising multiple carrier frequencies modulated with on-off keying; decoding the signal based at least in part on a delta frequency being associated with a first carrier frequency and a second carrier frequency among the multiple carrier frequencies; and recovering data from the decoded signal.

Multi-carrier on-off keying communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a first signal for probing an energy state of the second wireless device. The first wireless device may monitor for a second, backscattered signal indicating the energy state of the second wireless device and may transmit, to the second wireless device, an indication of resources for harvesting energy based on monitoring for the second, backscattered signal. The first wireless device may transmit, to the second wireless device and over the resources, a third signal distinct from the first signal and associated with harvesting energy.

Energy-state feedback for efficient wireless power transfer to IoT devices

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sending a retransmission via a sidelink wireless communication channel. A method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, a first data transmission. The method also includes receiving, from the base station, a signal indicating to retransmit at least a portion of the first data transmission to a second UE. The method further includes transmitting, to the second UE, based at least in part on the signal, a second data transmission via one or more resources, the second data transmission comprising at least the portion of the first data transmission.

Sidelink identification for multi-path downlink retransmission

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, scheduling information that indicates resource allocations for transmitting multiple sidelink transport blocks (TBs) and one or more receiving UEs associated with the multiple sidelink TBs. The UE may transmit one or more sidelink TBs of the multiple sidelink TBs based at least in part on the resource allocations and the one or more receiving UEs indicated in the scheduling information. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for load resistance signaling for wireless power transfer. A method for wireless communication by a first wireless communication device includes receiving, from a second wireless communication device, a first plurality radio frequency (RF) signals, performing power measurements associated with the first plurality of RF signals, and transmitting, based in part on the power measurements, information indicating a waveform for the second wireless communication device to use to transmit a second plurality of RF signals to the first wireless communication device.

Techniques for load resistance signaling for wireless power transfer

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may transmit to a network entity a first signal requesting a modification of allocated resources for sidelink transmission, sidelink reception, or both based on multiple transport blocks (TBs) for communication for the UE. The UE may receive, from the network entity, a downlink control information (DCI) signal granting one or more resources to the UE for sidelink communications based on the first signal. In some cases, the DCI signal may dynamically or periodically grant one or more resources for sidelink transmission, one or more resources for sidelink reception, or both for the UE. The UE may use the granted resources to communicate multiple TBs with one or more other UEs based on the DCI signal. For example, a single DCI message may allocate resources for sidelink communication of multiple TBs.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, scheduling information scheduling one or more communications. The one or more communications may be scheduled over one or more of a sidelink, an uplink, or a downlink. Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a controller user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a relay scheduling request that indicates a request to schedule access to a universal mobile telecommunications system air interface (Uu) based at least in part on relaying one or more sidelink retransmissions associated with at least a first sidelink between the controller UE and a first sidelink UE. Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating control information are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) may include performing a clear channel assessment (CCA), transmitting, to a first UE based on the CCA being successful, a first transport block (TB) via a first sub-PSSCH associated with a first sub-slot, and transmitting, to at least one of the first UE or a second UE, a second TB via a PSSCH associated with a slot.
