A method and apparatus for analyzing a dirty camera lens to determine if the dirty camera lens causes a failure to detect various events is provided herein. During operation, a filter is created that, when applied to previously-recorded video, mimics a dirty camera lens currently existing on a camera. The filter can then be applied to video taken previously with the camera as a result of an event being detected. The video analytics to detect the event are run again on the filtered video to see if the event is again detected. If the event was detected in both the filtered and unfiltered video, it is assumed that the particular event can still be detected even with the dirty lens. If the results differ, an alert can be sent to an operator indicating that the camera may no longer be capable of detecting the particular event.

A resource sharing process is established electronically between a first tenant and a second tenant in the multi-tenant communication system. The cloud-based resource management service determines electronically a first actual resource usage at the first tenant and a second actual resource usage at the second tenant. The electronic processor is configured to identify relevant communication data from the second set of parsed communication data, where the relevant communication data is relevant to the topic of interest. The electronic processor is configured to determine whether the relevant communication data is shareable. The electronic processor is configured to, in response to determining that the relevant communication data is not shareable, request consent from the first talkgroup and the second talkgroup to share the relevant communication data, and, in response to receiving consent, enable sharing of the relevant communication data.

A device, method and system for changing communication infrastructure based on call security level is provided. A device determines a call security level of a call occurring at a first communication infrastructure; the first communication infrastructure associated with a first security level; the call security level determined from one or more of; a profile of a caller on the call; and audio on the call. In response to determining that the call security level and the first security level are misaligned, the device causes the call to change to a second communication infrastructure associated with a second security level aligned with the call security level.

A method and apparatus for operating a camera is provided herein. During operation a camera having pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) capabilities will have its field of view (FOV) moved such that any detected blemish on the camera lies over an area with low activity (i.e., a low history of detected motion). More particularly, when it has been determined that a blemish or blemish resides on a camera's lens, a heat map of activity within the current FOV is determined. More active areas of the FOV are marked as 'hot', while less active areas of activity are marked as “cold”. The camera is then aligned such that the dirty portion of the lens does not align with any “hot” part of the heat map.

A presence of a person at a first location within the building is detected using a sensor. Whether the presence of the person at the first location is acceptable is determined in response to detecting the presence of the person at the first location. Then, in response to determining that the presence of the person at the first location is unacceptable, an output device is triggered to output an electronic lure signal to lure the person to a second location that is distant from the first location. The electronic lure signal is based on a category of the person.

A process of deploying a virtual assistant at an electronic media device to obtain information related to a public-safety incident. An electronic computing device captures a real-time digital audio and/or video stream from a first user under interrogation in relation to the incident and further processes the captured stream to determine that a second user has potential information related to the incident. The electronic computing device then determines that a virtual assistant is not currently deployed at an electronic media device that is identified as positioned at a current location of the second user. When it is determined that the electronic media device is capable of hosting a virtual assistant, the electronic computing device transmits an instruction to deploy a virtual assistant at the electronic media device and further perform an interrogation of the second user to obtain information related to the public-safety incident via the deployed virtual assistant.
