A power driving chip and method are disclosed. The power driving chip includes an integrated power module disposed in a package structure and including a transistor and a gate driver electrically connected to the transistor; a controller disposed in the package structure and electrically connected to the integrated power module; and a multi-level over-temperature protection circuit for measuring an inner temperature of the integrated power module. When the inner temperature exceeds a first trigger temperature, the multi-level over-temperature protection circuit triggers the controller to reduce the output power of the integrated power module. When the inner temperature exceeds a second trigger temperature, the multi-level overheating protection circuit triggers the controller to turn off the integrated power module. The second trigger temperature is higher than the first trigger temperature.

Power driving chip and method thereof

A self-check system and a method thereof are disclosed. In the self-check system, a memory stores a safety check program, a main application program and a predetermined checksum data. The safety check program include a circuit check program, a watchdog circuit reset program and a checksum check program. When a chip system is powered on, a processing unit executes the main application program, and then executes an interrupt call to generate an interrupt, so as to execute the safety check program and the circuit check program to check a to-be-checked circuit. The processing unit also executes the watchdog circuit reset program to reset a counting value of a watchdog circuit. The processing unit also executes the checksum check program to calculate a checksum data of the first safety check program, and reset the chip system when the calculated checksum data is not equal to the predetermined checksum data.

Self-check system and method thereof

The present is a multifunctional electronic cigarette. In the multifunctional electronic cigarette, an interchangeable member can include one of an E-liquid cassette having an atomizing component, an alcohol detecting device and a LED device; a processing module can control the power supply module to respectively apply an initial voltage and a test voltage to the connection assembly in sequential order, and calculate an operational resistance of the interchangeable member during the process of applying voltages, and then control the power supply module to generate operation voltage and current to the interchangeable member according to the operational resistance. The operational resistance is resistance of the interchangeable member which is executing a main operational function thereof. As a result, the multifunctional electronic cigarette can have improved extendibility.

Multifunctional electronic cigarette and multifunctional portable electronic device

A computer status diagnosis chip and a computer status diagnosis system including the same are provided. The chip is connected with the computer chip set and the first audio generator, and includes a receiving unit, an audio encoder and a driving unit. The receiving unit receives a detection signal from the computer chip set, and the audio encoder is connected to the receiving unit and encodes the detection signal as a first audio signal. The driving unit drives the first audio generator according to the first audio signal. By acoustic wave, the first audio generator transmits the first audio signal to a first audio receiver. Upon receipt of the first audio signal, an application program installed in the smart device is used to decode the first audio signal to obtain the detection signal, and a computer status is displayed on the smart device.

Computer status diagnosis chip and computer status diagnosis system including the same

A chip is provided. A power transmission path and a data transmission path are coupled between an upstream port and a downstream port. A first detection unit generates a first trigger signal when a voltage level of the power transmission path reaches a first predetermined value. A first control unit turns on the data transmission path according to the first trigger signal. A second detection unit detects a voltage level of the data transmission path. When the voltage level of the data transmission path matches a pre-determined condition, the second detection unit generates a second trigger signal, and the first control unit turns off the data transmission path according to the second trigger signal. A setting unit sets the voltage level of the data transmission path when the first control unit turns off the data transmission path.

Transmission device and control method thereof

A connection device including a first connection port, a second connection port, a third connection port and a chip is provided. When a host device is coupled to the first connection port and an electronic device is coupled to the second connection port, the connection device sets the level of an identification pin of the second connection port to a high level such that the electronic device operates in a device mode. In the device mode, the host device provides power to the electronic device. When the electronic device is coupled to the second connection port and a peripheral device is coupled to the third connection port, the connection device sets the level of the identification pin to a low level such that the electronic device operates in a host mode. In the host mode, the electronic device provides power to the peripheral device.

Control chip, control method and connection device utilizing the same

A connector includes a metal connecting element, a solder pad, and a control chip. Multiple contacts are disposed on the metal connecting element, and the metal connecting element is configured to connect with an electronically marked cable. The solder pad is disposed on a surface of the metal connecting element. The control chip is affixed to the solder pad and configured to store data and process transmission of data and power via the electronically marked cable according the stored data. Multiple chip pins of the control chip are electrically connected with the contacts via the solder pad, and the control chip is configured to update the stored data upon receipt of a signal.

Connector and manufacturing method and updating method of the same

A control method of over-temperature protection, a driver chip and a control system of over-temperature protection are disclosed. The control method includes the following steps: a driver chip provides an output voltage to drive a DC fan. A temperature of the driver chip is detected by an over-temperature detection module. When the temperature of the driver chip is higher than a first threshold value, the power supplying to the driver chip is stopped, so that the driver chip can cool down. After the temperature of the driver chip is lower than a second threshold value, the driver chip is restarted. A preset voltage is provided to the DC fan by the driver chip and the DC fan rotates at a preset rotational speed which is higher than the rotational speed.

Control method of over-temperature protection, driver chip and control system of over-temperature protection

A power management circuit is provided. The power management circuit includes a power switch, a current/voltage detector, a current setting unit, and a control unit. The power switch is coupled to a power supply of the computer system. When the power switch is turned on, it supplies an output current and an output voltage of the power supply to an external device. The current/voltage detector detects the magnitudes of the output current and the output voltage. The current setting unit sets a plurality of current thresholds. When the computer system is in a power-saving state and when the output current is greater than a first current threshold and smaller than a second current threshold or the output voltage is smaller than a first voltage threshold and larger than a second voltage threshold, the control unit issues a notification signal to execute a predetermined operation on the power supply.

Low power mode operation when charging a device

An integrated circuit generating a driving signal to a load according to an input voltage and including an impedance switching unit, a first protection unit, a first detection unit and a control unit is disclosed. The impedance switching unit takes the input voltage as the driving signal according to a control signal. The first protection unit generates a first detection signal when a current passing through the impedance switching unit is higher than a predetermined current. The first detection unit detects a voltage of the impedance switching unit to generate a detection result. The control unit controls the control signal according to the first detection signal.

Boot systems and methods are provided. The boot system includes an IO (Input/Output) chip, a memory device, and a BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). The memory device is coupled to the IO chip, and includes at least a rescue OS (Operating System). The BIOS reads the rescue OS from the memory device via the IO chip, and boots an electronic device based on the rescue OS.

A current limit protection apparatus and a method for current limit protection are provided. The current limit protection apparatus includes a MOS transistor, a current detecting unit, and a current limit circuit. Two source/drain of the MOS transistor are used for receiving a first-voltage and outputting a second-voltage respectively. A gate of the MOS transistor is used for receiving a gate driving signal to determine a conducting current of the MOS transistor. The current detecting unit is used for detecting the conducting current, so as to generate a detecting result. The current limit circuit has a plurality of current threshold values. The current limit circuit selects one of the current threshold values according to an indicating signal and generates the gate driving signal according to a difference between the selected current threshold value and the detecting result.
