A handwriting input device includes a housing and a nib selectively exposed from a bottom side of the housing or hidden in the housing. The device further includes a pressure sensor, a motion sensor, and a microcontroller. The pressure sensor generates pressure signals when the nib is depressed. The motion sensor senses movement of the device. The microcontroller records the sensed movement upon receiving the pressure signals, and processes the recorded movement to obtain track signals of handwritten information when the duration of not receiving the pressure signals exceeds a predetermined time interval. The track signals of handwritten information are then transmitted to an external electronic device communicating with the device to become handwriting shown on a display of the external electronic device.

A chipset package structure includes a carrier, a plurality of pinouts, at least one semiconductor package preforms, at least one electromagnetic shielding layer and a protective layer. The pinouts are disposed on the carrier. The semiconductor package preforms is disposed on the second surface of the carrier and electrically connected to the pinouts. The electromagnetic shielding layer is disposed on the semiconductor package preforms and the electromagnetic shielding layer. At least one of the electromagnetic shielding layers comprises a carbon nanotube film structure. The protective layer covers the electromagnetic shielding layer.

An electronic device includes a storage unit, a sound signal receiving unit, a remote signal generating unit, a processing unit, and a transmitting unit. The control table records RC devices, sound parameters, and control commands. Each RC device is associated with at least one sound parameter. Each sound parameter corresponds to one control command. The sound signal receiving unit receives sound signals. The processing unit determines a sound parameter according to the received sound signals, searches in the control table to determine the control command the sound parameter corresponding to according to a selected RC device, and controls the remote signal generating unit to generate a remote signal corresponding to the determined control command. The transmitting unit transmits the remote signal to the selected RC device.

A method applied in a display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a first screen, a second screen, power signal means. The first screen is volatile. The second screen is non-volatile. The power signal means generate a power off signal in response to a user operation. The method includes: determining whether a power off signal is received; displaying a user interface on the first screen if the power off signal is received; controlling the display on the second screen in response to a user selection on the operation interface; generating a shutdown signal; and powering off the first screen, and the second screen when receiving the shutdown signal.

An electronic cosmetic case includes a stereo image display unit, and a pair of image capturing units. The pair of image capturing units is for simultaneously capturing facial image of a user from two different directions, and providing the captured images to the stereo image display unit. The stereo image display unit receives the two captured images and simultaneously displays one captured image to the left eye and displays the other captured image to the right eye, thus allowing the user to perceive a stereo image.

A projection device with a brightness adjustment function includes a polarization beam splitter (PBS), a light source, a reflective display, a lens module, a power supply unit, a light detection unit and a power controller. The light source emits light to the PBS. The PBS reflects a portion of the light to the reflective display, and transmits a remaining portion of the light. The lens module projects the images. The light detection unit acquires a digital value of a portion of the light reflected by the PBS that is not received by the reflective display, and compares the digital value with a predetermined digital value to generate a control signal. The power controller for adjusts power from the power supply unit to the light source according to the control signal until the digital value matches the predetermined digital value of the light from the light source.

A system for modulating audio effects of speakers is provided. The system includes a selecting module, a playing module, a recording module, a time delay computing module and a modulating module. Based on these modules, the system is capable of determining a time difference and a pitch for each of the speakers, and modulating the time difference and the pitch for each of the speakers to a desired time difference and a desired pitch, so as to ensure that simultaneous sounds from each speaker arrive at a microphone at about the same time and with the same audio pitch. An electronic device includes a chassis, an electronic component, a heat sink having a base and a thermal module. The chassis includes a bottom plate and a side plate surrounding the bottom plate. A cutout is defined in the side plate. The electronic component is arranged on the bottom plate and faces the cutout of the side plate. The base of the heat sink is arranged on the electronic component, and the thermal module is arranged on the base of the heat sink. The thermal module is assembled onto the base by extending through the cutout and can be taken out of the chassis through the cutout. The thermal module and the heat sink together dissipate heat generated by the electronic component when the thermal module is inserted into the chassis.

Portable electronic device incorporating extendable thermal module

A cooling device for dissipating heat for an electronic device includes a shell to absorb heat generating from a heat generating element in the electronic device, and a number of fins. The shell bounds a heat exchanging space and defines an air intake and an air outlet. The number of fins extends into the heat exchanging space. The shell guides air outside the shell to enter into the shell through the air intake and to exit from the shell through the air outlet after exchanging heat in the heat exchanging space.
