Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media. In one example of the present disclosure, a ToF sensor includes an array of pixels and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a plurality of ToF exposure control signals that control at least one pixel of the array of pixels to generate a plurality of ToF pixel signals, generate a plurality of error correcting code (ECC) exposure control signals that control the at least one pixel to generate a plurality of ECC pixel signals, and determine a distance from an object based on the plurality of ToF pixel signals and the plurality of ECC pixel signals.

An imaging device with a plurality of image sensing pixels and a plurality of event detection pixels is provided. Each image sensing pixel includes a photoelectric conversion element and an imaging signal generation readout circuit. Each event detection pixel includes a photoelectric conversion element and an event detection readout circuit. The event detection readout circuit can be shared by a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements. In addition, the photoelectric conversion element of an event detection pixel can be selectively connected to a shared imaging signal generation readout circuit. The number of image sensing pixels is greater than the number of event detection pixels. In addition, the area of a photoelectric conversion element of an event detection pixel can be greater than the area of a photoelectric conversion element of an image sensing pixel.

An image sensor comprises a plurality of pixels. Pixels are capable of detecting a change in an amount of light intensity and pixels are capable of detecting an amount of light intensity. In a first mode the sensor outputs data from the first one or more of the pixels. In a second mode the sensor outputs data from the second one or more of the pixels. The first mode may be a lower power operation mode and the second mode may be a higher power operation mode. At least one of the first mode and the second mode is selected by a processor based on at least one of a result of processing data output in the first mode and a result of processing data output in the second mode.

Improvement of image quality is realizable. An adding unit generates a summed value corresponding to a sum of all values of respective pixel signals of a plurality of first pixels each of which has sensitivities to visible light and invisible light. The values are weighted by first weighting coefficients that are different from each other and determined such that a difference between a sum of the sensitivities of the first pixels to the visible light and a sensitivity of a second pixel to the visible light, which second pixel has sensitivities to the visible light and the invisible light, becomes smaller than a predetermined tolerance in a state that the sensitivities of the first pixels to the visible light are weighted by the first weighting coefficients and that the sensitivity of the second pixel to the visible light is weighted by a second weighting coefficient. A weighting processing unit weights a pixel signal of the second pixel by the second weighting coefficient. An invisible light component generation unit generates, as a component of the invisible light within each of the pixel signals, a difference between the weighted pixel signal of the second pixel and the summed value.
