An assembled LED display device includes a system motherboard, and multiple to-be-assembled daughterboards assembled on the system motherboard. The system motherboard includes a drive power circuit including multiple power lines, and a gate control circuit including multiple gate lines. Each to-be-assembled daughterboard includes a substrate, at least one transistor switch, and a plurality of LED units disposed on the substrate and each including multiple LEDs connected to a same one of the at least one transistor switch. The LEDs of the LED units of the to-be-assembled daughterboards are arranged in a matrix having multiple rows and multiple columns. With respect to each column, the LEDs in the column are connected to the power line corresponding to the column. With respect to each to-be-assembled daughterboard, gate terminal(s) of the at least one transistor switch is(are) connected to the gate line corresponding to the to-be-assembled daughterboard.

Assembled light emitting diode display device

A scan-type display apparatus includes an LED array, a display module, a control module and a driver module. The LED array has a common anode configuration. The control module generates a synchronization control (SC) signal. Based on the SC signal, the driver module outputs an input voltage to scan lines of the LED array sequentially without overlapping in time so as to drive LEDs of the LED array to emit light in a line scan manner, and generates an image refresh signal that is related to the output of the input voltage to one of the scan lines which corresponds to a last line of the line scan in each line scan cycle and that is further related to refreshing of images on a display constituted by the LED array and the display module.

Scan-type display apparatus, and driving device and driving method thereof

A scan-type display apparatus includes a light emitting module, a display module, a control module and a driver module. The light emitting module includes an LED array having a common anode configuration. The control module generates a synchronization control (SC) signal. The driver module generates a plurality of switching signals and an image refresh signal based on the SC signal. The switching signals cause the LED array to emit light in a line scan manner. The image refresh signal is related to one of the switching signals that corresponds to a last line of the line scan in each line scan cycle, and is further related to refreshing of images on a display constituted by the light emitting module and the display module.

Scan-type display apparatus, in which refreshing of images on a display thereof can occur when a line scan cycle of a light emitting diode array of the display ends, and driving method thereof

A driving device includes a control unit, a switch unit and a driver unit. The control unit is configured to generate a gray scale output and a synchronization signal. The switch unit is coupled to an LED array, and switches among different conduction states based on a switching output. The driver unit is coupled to the control unit, the switch unit and the LED array. The driver unit generates the switching output based on a clock signal and the synchronization signal, and generates drive outputs for receipt by the LED array based on the clock signal, the gray scale output and the synchronization signal, so as to drive the LED array to emit light.

Driving passive light emitting diode array having a driver for outputting switching output signals

A scan-type display apparatus includes a light emitting module, a display module, a control module and a driver module. The light emitting module includes an LED array having a common anode configuration. The control module generates an image stream, a plurality of switching signals that cause the LED array to emit light in a line scan manner, and an image refresh signal that is related to refreshing of images on a display constituted by the light emitting module and the display module. The driver module generates a drive output to drive the display module, such that the display shows images represented by the image stream and that the refreshing of images on the display is synchronous to the line scan.

A light emitting diode (LED) failure detecting device is operatively associated with an LED array, and includes a driving circuit and a determining circuit. The driving circuit is used to be coupled to scan lines and data lines of the LED array, and drives, based on a first control input corresponding to selection of one of LED units of the LED array, the LED units in such a way that a current flows through said one of the LED units. The determining circuit generates, based at least on the voltages respectively at the data lines and on a second control input corresponding at least to selection of the data line that is coupled to said one of the LED units, a determination output that indicates whether said one of the LED units is determined to have failed.

LED failure detecting device

A light emitting diode (LED) failure detecting device is operatively associated with an LED array, and includes a driving circuit and a determining circuit. The driving circuit drives LED units of the LED array through scan lines and data lines of the LED array in such a way that a current flows through one of the LED units. The determining circuit selects a voltage at the data line that is coupled to said one of the LED units, and generates, based on a difference between a first sample voltage that is related to at least the selected voltage at a first time point and a second sample voltage that is related to at least the selected voltage at a second time point, a determination output indicating whether said one of the LED units is determined to have failed.
