An image transmission apparatus for providing a low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) data stream to a display panel is provided. The image transmission apparatus includes a transmitter and a graphic processing unit (GPU). The transmitter obtains an extended display identification data (EDID) according to an inter integrated circuit signal from the display panel. The GPU provides configuration data according to the EDID, and provides a display port (DP) data stream according to an image data. The transmitter obtains a transfer parameter according to the configuration data, and converts the DP data stream into the LVDS data stream according to the transfer parameter.

Image transmission apparatus and image processing method thereof

A graphics display system is provided with a graphics processing module and a display module. The graphics processing module detects whether first frame data is equal to second frame data subsequent to the first frame data, and in response to the first frame data being equal to the second frame data, stops outputting any frame data after outputting the second frame data and a mode switching command. The display module displays graphic images according to the first frame data, and stores the second frame data as temporary data and continuingly displays the graphic images according to the temporary data in response to the mode switching command.

Graphics display systems and methods

A graphics processing unit (GPU) and a management method of the GPU are provided. The GPU includes at least one graphics engine and an engine manager. The graphics engine performs a video decoding function or a graphics rendering function according to a graphics command from a driver software. The engine manager records a workload index of each graphics engine. The engine manager also adjusts the work ability of one of or more of the at least one graphics engine according to an adjustment command from the driver software. The driver software provides the adjustment command according to the workload index.

One embodiment is a method for establishing a link between a source device and a sink device. The method comprises enabling a hot plug detect (HPD) handler in the source device, utilizing the HPD handler to receive an HPD interrupt upon the sink device being coupled to the source device, applying one or more predetermined parameters corresponding to the HPD interrupt to establish the link between the source device and the sink device, and adjusting the one or more predetermined parameters if the link between the source device and the sink device is not established.

Systems and methods for hot-plug detection recovery

Multi-view video switching control methods and systems are disclosed. It is determined whether a VBI (vertical blanking interval) of signals respectively transmitted by a first GA (graphic array) and a second GA is detected. The video source of first and second GAs belongs to the same first video source. If the VBI corresponding to first GA is detected first, the video source of first GA is switched to a second video source, and the video source of second GA is switched to the second video source if the VBI corresponding to second GA is then present. If the VBI corresponding to second GA is detected first, the video source of second GA is switched to the second video source, and the video source of first GA is switched to the second video source if the VBI corresponding to first GA is then present.

Multi-view video switching control methods and systems

Mode support systems and methods. The system comprises a storage device and an editing unit. The storage device comprises a first mode list comprising a plurality of display modes. The editing unit edits at least one supported display mode from the display modes in the first mode list, and stores a second mode list comprising the supported display mode to the storage device. The supported display mode in the second mode list is retrieved by a device.

Mode support systems and methods

Display mode management systems and methods. The system comprises a plurality of supported display modes, and a processing module. The processing module receives an expected display mode, and determines whether the expected display mode is among the supported display modes. If not, a specific display mode is selected from the supported display modes. The resolution of the specific display mode is smaller than and closest to that of the expected display mode among the supported display modes. The specific display mode is set as the display mode of a device.
