A battery, including a battery cell and a housing assembly accommodating the battery cell. The battery cell includes a first tab. The housing assembly includes a first housing body and a second housing body. The first housing body and the second housing body define an accommodation space to accommodate the battery cell. The first housing body and/or the second housing body include an installation portion provided with a via hole. A conductive member is disposed on an inner surface or an outer surface of the housing assembly and electrically connected to the first tab. In a through direction of the via hole, a projection of the conductive member is at least partially located in the via hole. The conductive member can avoid occupying internal space of the housing assembly, and increase the energy density of the battery. An electric device containing the battery is provided.

Secondary battery cell and winding formation system thereof

The present disclosure provides a wound-type electrode assembly comprising a first and second electrode plates, a first and second electrode tabs, and a separator. The first and second electrode plates include a first current collector and active substance layer, and a second current collector and active substance layer. Two surfaces of the first current collector of the first winding start section of the first electrode plate are not coated with first active substance layer and defined as a first start blank current collector, the first start blank current collector is welded to a first electrode tab. The second pole piece comprises a second groove, a bottom of which is a second current collector and a circumference thereof is a second active substance layer; the second electrode tab is accommodated in the second groove and electrically connected to the second current collector at the second groove.

Wound-type electrode assembly

The present invention provides a secondary battery. The secondary battery comprises a first electrode tab and a first electrode plate. The first electrode plate first electrode plate comprises a first current collector, a first active layer, a first electrode tab receiving groove and a first electrode plate notch. The first active layer is disposed on a surface of the first current collector. The first electrode tab receiving groove is configured to receive the first electrode tab, and the first electrode tab is electrically connected with the first current collector through the first electrode tab receiving groove. The first electrode plate notch is disposed on an edge of the first electrode tab receiving groove.

Embodiments of the present application provide a protective device for cell including a first conductive component and a second conductive component that are disposed oppositely and spaced apart. A switching unit disposed between the first conductive component and the second conductive component is configured to disconnect the first conductive component from the second conductive component based on a predetermined temperature of the cell. The purpose of the present application is to provide a protection device for cell to timely cut off the internal circuit of the cell when the internal temperature of the cell is high.

The present application discloses a cell and a battery, the cell comprising a first electrode, a second electrode, and a first separator and a second separator that are disposed between the first electrode and second electrode, wherein the first separator includes a first meshing structure beyond the first electrode and the second electrode, the second separator includes a second meshing structure beyond the first electrode and the second electrode, and the first meshing structure is meshed with the second meshing structure along a thickness direction of the cell. The cell provided by the present application can improve the dropping performance of the cell and enhance the safe use of cell.

Cell and battery

The invention provides an electrode piece, a cell and an energy storage device. The electrode piece is used to form the cell, comprising: a current collector; a diaphragm; and a groove. Among them, the current collector exposed at the bottom of the groove is a blank current collector, and the blank current collector is formed with a connecting portion; the connecting portion is cut out from the blank current collector as a part of the blank current collector and bent on the blank current collector along the width direction; and at least a portion of the connecting portion extends beyond the outer edge of the current collector in the width direction. The electrode piece of the invention can increase the energy density of the cell and the connection strength of the blank current collector of the electrode tab and the electrode piece, and reduce the production cost.

Electrode piece, cell and energy storage device

A cell and a battery are provided. The cell includes an electrode assembly and a packaging bag, the electrode assembly includes a first electrode sheet provided with a first coating layer and a first uncoated region, the packaging bag includes a first body, the electrode assembly is disposed in the packaging bag, and the first uncoated region is electrically connected with the first body. Further, the electrode assembly may further include a second electrode sheet provided with a second coating layer and a second uncoated region, the packaging bag may further include a second body, and the second uncoated region is electrically connected with the second body.

The present application provides a second battery cell comprising first and second electrodes, first and second tabs, and a separator. The first electrode and second electrode include first and second current collectors and first and second active material layers respectively. The first and second electrodes are formed with first and second tab accommodating grooves for accommodating the first and second tabs respectively. The first tabs are arranged in pairs, and two first tabs in each pair are respectively located on the upper and lower sides of the first winding starting section of the first electrode along the thickness direction of the secondary battery cell; and/or the second tabs are arranged in pairs, and two second tabs in each pair are respectively located on the upper and lower sides of the second winding starting section of the second electrode along the thickness direction of the secondary battery cell.

The present application provides a package sealing structure, a preparation method thereof and a flexible packaging battery. In a package peripheral region of the package sealing structure, the insulating heat sealing layers of the two layers of packaging film face each other and are melted into one body to form an insulating fusion layer which seals and bonds the two layers of the packaging film together. The insulating fusion layer is formed with an overflow portion that overflows from the package peripheral region of the package sealing structure to the outer end surfaces of the core metal layers of the two layers of packaging film and covers completely the outer end surfaces of the core metal layer of the two layers of packaging film, so that the outer end surfaces of the core metal layers are insulated from the peripheral environment.

Package sealing structure, preparation method thereof and flexible packaging battery

The present application relates to the field of energy storage devices and, in particular, relates to a battery electrode, and a secondary battery using the battery electrode. The battery electrode comprises an electrode tab, a current collector, and a diaphragm attached onto at least one surface of the current collector, wherein the diaphragm is provided with a groove, the electrode tab is embedded into the groove and is electrically connected with the current collector, the electrode tab comprises an embedded portion embedded in the groove and an exposed portion protruded outside the groove; wherein an upper surface of the embedded portion is covered with an active material coating layer. According to the present application, an embedded electrode tab is adopted, and a diaphragm covers a surface of an embedded portion.

Battery electrode and secondary battery using the same

A method of edge sealing for a secondary lithium battery, including: (1) drawing a 3D model of a battery edge of a secondary lithium battery, and inputting it into a 3D printer; (2) positioning the secondary lithium battery in a 3D printing area, and fixing a relative position of the secondary lithium battery in the 3D printing area; (3) stimulating, by the 3D printer, the battery edge according to the 3D model and setting a printing path; (4) adding edge sealing glue in a printing head of the 3D printer, the printing head moves according to the set printing path and meantime performs at least one time of printing, so that printed edge sealing glue covers the battery edge; (5) solidifying the edge sealing glue. The method of edge sealing of this application has broader application, which can be applied to batteries of any shape.

Method of edge sealing for secondary lithium battery

A method for manufacturing lithium ion cells includes the steps of: 1) coating a collector roll along an unreeling direction thereof to form one or more strip coated areas, two side edges of the coated area each being provided with an uncoated area to form tabs thereon; 2) compacting the coated collector roll and obtaining a compacted collector roll; 3) cutting the compacted collector roll into anode plates/cathode plates having different sizes each having a tab and rounded corners; 4) recombining an anode plate/a cathode plate with a separator; cutting the separator after recombination to form rounded corners at a position corresponding to the rounded corners of the anode plate/cathode plate and further obtain a mono-cell or a half-cell having different sizes; 5) stacking the mono-cells and half-cells into a step preliminary cell; and 6) hot pressing the stacked preliminary cell to form a whole lithium ion cell via bonding of the anode plates/cathode plates with the separator.
