A depth image processing method and a depth image processing system are provided. The depth image processing method includes: capturing a first image and a second image; performing a feature comparison to acquire a plurality of feature pairs between the first image and the second image, wherein each of the feature pairs includes a feature in the first image and a corresponding feature in the second image; computing disparities of the feature pairs; computing a depth image through the first image and the second image when the disparities of the feature pairs are all smaller than a disparity threshold.

Depth image processing method and depth image processing system

The present invention provides an image processing method applied to a graphics processing unit including: receiving data of an image, wherein the image is a first rectangle constituted by a plurality of pixels, and the pixels of the image are represented by a plurality of image values with a predetermined bit depth in the data; using a predetermined number of bits to perform an accumulation of the image values of the pixels for constructing an integral image of the image, wherein the predetermined number of bits is less than log(W&#xd7;H&#xd7;2) number of bits, W is the width of the first rectangle, H is the length of the first rectangle, and k is the predetermined bit depth.

Image processing method

A gesture recognition module for recognizing a gesture of a user is disclosed. The gesture recognition module comprises an image capturing unit, for capturing a first pixel value, a second pixel value, a third pixel value and a fourth pixel value sequentially of images of the gesture of the user; a computing unit, coupled to the image capturing unit, for determining a first minimum surrounding shape comprising a first pixel difference between the first pixel value and the second pixel value, and determining a second minimum surrounding shape comprising a second pixel difference between the third pixel value and the fourth pixel value; and a determining unit, coupled to the computing unit, for determining the gesture according to a relation between the first minimum surrounding shape and the second minimum surrounding shape.

Gesture recognition module and gesture recognition method

A gesture input system with a two-dimension (2D) image sensor and a processing module is provided. The 2D image sensor obtains a plurality of images of a user. The processing module determines positions of an object and a face of the user in a first image of the plurality of images, and determines an operation area for the user according to the positions of the object and the face. Also, the processing module generates a control command according to the subsequent images to the first image of the user within the operation area.

Gesture input systems and methods using 2D sensors

An electronic device is provided, including a housing, at least one tap sensing unit and a processing unit. The housing has a touch surface, in which, when the touch surface is tapped more than one time in a predetermined interval, shock waves are generated. The tap sensing unit receives the shock waves to generate a moire signal. The processing unit obtains a shock wave source number of each of the shock waves according to the moire signal, and generates a string code according to a generation order of the shock waves and the shock wave source number of each of the shock waves, such that the processing unit controls the electronic device according to a control command corresponding to the string code.
