Systems and methods for avoiding or mitigating motion sickness in a vehicle are disclosed herein. The systems and methods may include (a) determining a profile of the individual inclination towards motion sickness; (b) predicting an individual effectiveness of countermeasures based on typing using the data from step (a); (c) evaluating the actual effectiveness of the predicted countermeasures after their implementation when travelling in the vehicle; wherein step (a) is repeated regularly and all data and results from step (c) are fed into a self-learning system in order to obtain an improved statement on the individual actual effectiveness of countermeasures taken and to make the selection of effective countermeasures based on them.

Methods and systems for controlling motor vehicle functions for controlling motion sickness

An articulated connection can be used to transfer a steering movement to a vehicle wheel. The articulated connection can include an axle journal and a steering arm. The axle journal can be configured to be coupled to the wheel. The steering arm can be configured to receive and transfer the steering movement to the axle journal. The steering arm can be bendable so as to elastically deflect with respect to the axle journal. The steering arm can be curved along a portion of its length and/or the articulated connection can include a limiting device. The limiting device can be configured to limit an amount of deflection of the steering arm in at least one direction.

Articulated connection for transferring a steering movement onto a vehicle wheel

In order to limit rolling movements of the vehicle, spring arms are formed on those ends of the leaf spring, arranged transversely to the vehicle, on which the wheel carriers are articulated, said spring arms being connected in a force-transmitting manner to the transverse leaf spring. The spring arms point toward the longitudinal mid-plane of the vehicle and run at an acute angle to the transverse leaf spring. Since the spring designed in this way is a universally available structural part (the spring arms running at an angle may also be produced separately and then be connected non-positively to the transverse leaf spring), the two wheels are connected to one another directly and the triangular shape formed by the spring arms running at an angle gives rise to a function similar to that of a transverse link.
