A portable terminal with a pair of housings is provided, in which a fixed member has a through hole and is fixed to one surface of a first housing, the through hole penetrating both surfaces of the fixed member, a rotation member is fixed to one surface of a second housing, facing one surface of the fixed member, a driving member is rotatably engaged with the through hole on the other surface of the fixed member and fixed to the rotation member, and an elastic member has one end supported by the fixed member and the other end supported by the driving member, for providing a driving force to rotate the driving member. The second housing covering the first housing or moving to a position where the second housing is in parallel with the first housing by rotating along with the rotation member and the driving member around a hinge axis extended vertically with respect to the first housing by the driving force of the elastic member.

Swing-type portable terminal

A swing-type portable communication apparatus includes a body housing having a first display part, a swing housing having a second display part and capable of being obliquely slid and juxtaposed with the body housing at the same angle without a height difference after being swung from the body housing. A hinge mechanism is provided at one end of the body housing for obliquely sliding the swing housing after the swing housing is swung from the body housing.

Swing-type portable communication apparatus and hinge mechanism thereof

Provided is a stopper device for a sliding swing type portable communication device, in which a stopper is made up of a small number of parts capable of restricting the swinging operation after sliding operation as well as the sliding operation after the swing operation. The stopper device includes a body housing and a sliding housing opened or closed by sliding or swinging in relation to the body housing, a first sliding member coupled to the sliding housing, a second sliding member coupled to the first sliding member to enable the first sliding member to slide, a swing member coupled to the body housing, installed between the first and second sliding members, to allow the first and second sliding members to swing, and a stopper unit provided to each member, restricting the swinging of the sliding housing when the sliding housing slides and the sliding of the sliding housing when the sliding housing swings before sliding.

A portable terminal includes: a first housing; a second housing coupled to the first housing via a hinge device, the second housing pivoting about a first hinge axis toward or away from the first housing to be closed or opened, and rotating about a second axis, so that the front and rear sides of the second housing are reversed, the second axis extending perpendicular to the first axis. The hinge includes: a hinge housing extending along the direction of the first hinge axis and coupled to the first housing in such a manner that the hinge housing is rotated about the first hinge axis on the first housing; and a coupling member anchored to the second housing and coupled to the hinge housing to be rotatable about the second hinge axis. While the hinge housing is being rotated about the first hinge axis, the coupling member is turned around the first hinge axis in a state in which one side of the coupling member is faced to the outer peripheral surface of the hinge housing.

Portable terminal with hinge apparatus

An apparatus for automatically adjusting tilting of an optical disc drive, having placing parts, a plurality of height measurers, adjusters, a mirror disc, two mirror plates, an autocollimator, a photo detector, and a controller. The optical disc drive is placed on the placing parts. The plurality of height measurers measure heights of two portions of each of the pair of rails. The adjusters adjust the adjusting parts. The mirror disc is mounted on the turntable and spins. The two mirror plates are installed on the pair of rails. The autocollimator radiates parallel light beams onto the mirror disc and the two mirror plates. The photo detector detects focused points of the light beams reflected from the mirror disc and the two mirror plates and passing through the autocollimator. The controller calculates an amount of tilting from a distance between the focused points.

Apparatus and method for automatically adjusting tilting of an optical disc drive

A tray loading apparatus of an optical disc drive is provided. The tray loading apparatus includes a main frame, first rails that are installed in the main frame to guide a first tray on which a cartridge accommodating a disc is mounted so that the first tray slides into or out of the main frame, and second rails that are attachable to and detachable from the main frame and guide a second tray on which the disc is placed so that the second tray can slide into or out of the main frame. The tray loading apparatus further includes lockers that lock the second tray when the second tray is completely loaded into the main frame and disc guides that guide the outer circumference of the disc placed on the second tray. Accordingly, second rails can be separated from or coupled to a main frame to selectively load and unload a first tray on which a cartridge is mounted or a second tray on which a disc is placed.

Apparatus for loading tray of optical disc drive and optical disc drive using the same

An optical disc drive having a retractable and ejectable disc carrying tray. A compound pivot mechanism engages a turntable with a disc carried on the tray. The turntable is supported by a base chassis which pivots with respect to a main frame. A sub-chassis is pivotably connected with the mainframe and elastically coupled with the base chassis. A cam member on the main frame engages the sub-chassis to pivot the sub-chassis coincident with the tray being retracted into the main frame or ejected from the main frame. The sub-chassis in turn pivots the base chassis to engage or disengage the disc with the turntable. The tray accommodates discs having different diameters and comprises mechanisms for securing the disc while the disc is retracted into and ejected from the main frame.
