A device for hot beverages, such as coffee, tea, herbal tea, comprises a lower container for receiving water, an upper container for receiving brewed beverages, and a grounds holder assembly with an injector differential system, into which coffee ground, tea leaves and herbs are placed. The grounds are subjected to high temperature water and steam, to extract essences and produce a beverage, such as espresso coffee, tea, chamomile and others. The injector differential system has an injector nozzle an injector floating piston in the lower portion of the hollow stem. Pressurized hot water and steam from the lower container flow through the injector nozzle, lifting injector floating piston, at predermined high temperature and pressure, through the holes of lower perforated plate, and then into the grounds for brewing process. The water and stem extract of the grounds pass through inverted funnel and it is collected into the upper cylindrical container.

Coffee, tea, and herbal tea maker

A device for brewing hot beverages comprises a lower container for receiving water, an upper container for receiving brewed beverage, and a piston-cylinder assembly into which coffee grounds, tea leaves, and herbs are placed. The grounds, etc. are compressed and subjected to high temperature water and steam, to extract essences and produce a beverage, such as espresso coffee. The piston has a decompression chamber at its upper end, formed between the piston top and a perforated diffuser plate. Pressurized hot water from the lower container flows through a nozzle in the piston top, into the decompression chamber, through the holes of the diffuser plate, and then into the grounds. The piston moves upwardly to compress the grounds against an upper perforated plate, first with rising force, and then with constant force. Since the total flow path cross sectional area of the holes in the diffuser plate is several times greater than the flow area of the piston top nozzle, the pressure in the decompression chamber is substantially lower than the pressure in the lower container. This enables a lowered velocity of water and steam which pass through the diffuser plate and into the grounds.

Coffee, tea and herbal tea maker

An improved expresso coffee maker comprising an upper cylindrical container 2 threadably engaged onto a lower truncated-cone container 1, said lower container having a coffee basket assembly 3 in which a cylindrical coffee holder 4 is centered with a piston 5 sliding inside, said piston has apertures 6 to allow passage of water and steam and to create differential pressure above and below the piston, which forces the piston to compress the coffee grounds during the brewing process. The water extract of the coffee grounds passes through inverted funnel 15 and it is collected into the upper cylindrical container.

Expresso coffee maker

A liquid squirting simulated creature is comprised of a front section having a body, legs and head, and a rear section which is assembled thereto. The front section is comprised of top and bottom elements defining a cavity therebetween and front and rear apertures, as well as apertures extending along the sides thereof through which a multiplicity of legs extend. The rear section is a resiliently compressible bulbous member providing a chamber therewithin to contain fluid and having a neck portion extending through the aperture in the rear wall of the front section. A tubular conduit is seated in an opening in the neck portion of the rear section and extends to a front aperture in the front section so as to provide the conduit for discharge of fluid from the chamber therethrough. The leg members are comprised of a web on each side interconnecting a multiplicity of legs on that side of the front section, and flexible portions which extend through apertures along the sides of the front section.

Liquid squirting creature

A glove puppet figure has wings capable of simulating flapping movement while producing an audible sound, and driven by a mechanism that is uncomplicated and yet effective. The figure may have a head component that can be moved, by manipulation of the operator's finger, relative to a body which is held substantially immobile on the operator's hand, and the glove empolyed is not only functional but also contributes to aesthetic appeal. The wings are removably mounted to the body by flexible coupling members. The wings are fabricated from a synthetic resinous laminate and provides an iridescence to the wings.

Glove puppet figure assembly and powered wing drive mechanism

A glove puppet assembly, in the form of a spider-like creature, has a tail or abdomen portion which can be articulated by wrist action. It may also have an articulated, finger-operated head component, and utilizes a gripping ring holder and a glove member which facilitate movement of its parts while, in the case of the glove member, also contributing to the aesthetic effect. A plush covering may be provided upon a section of the body member, particularly the tail portion.

A toy creature includes a one-piece member providing wings that can be reciprocated, by direct manual force, to simulate a flapping action. The creature may include legs that permit it to grasp an object for unassisted support thereon.

A hand puppet figure has head components which can be moved, by manipulation of the operator's finger, relative to a body which is held substantially immobile on the operator's hand. The puppet figure may have wings capable of simulating flapping movement, while producing an audible sound, and the glove employed is both functional and contributes to aesthetic appeal.

A cord-climbing simulated creature has a body comprised of a bottom section and a top section with apertures on each side through which extend legs from a common web member disposed on each side. On the outer surface of the top section of the creature's body is an upstanding post. A winch assembly in the body includes a housing and a winch which has a pair of axially spaced winch sections of different diameter. An elongated flexible string member extends about the smaller diameter winch section and out the front end of the simulated creature and has its outer end attached to a hook element. The opposite end of the string-like member extends about the larger diameter winch section and out through the rear of the creature's body and its outer end is secured to a spool which is adapted to coil the string-like member thereabout and to seat on the post formed on the body member.

Cord-climbing creature

A winged creature employs a push-button member that is reciprocated to simulate a flapping action of wing elements, which can be provided by a one-piece member rigidly affixed to the push-button member. The wing elements are constructed for pivotable movement, and the edges of the push-button member traversed thereby will advantageously be configured to provide a smooth transition, so as to facilitate such movement.

Winged creature

A creature with snapping jaws is comprised of a pair of body members defining a body cavity. The lower body member defines a lower jaw portion, an upper jaw member which has a lever arm extending into the cavity at one end, and disposed thereover is wherein it is pivotally mounted for pivotal motion relative to the lower jaw. Also pivotally mounted in the body cavity is an actuator with a button portion projecting through an aperture in the top of the body member and a cam portion which is engageable with the lever arm to produce pivotal movement thereof to open the upper jaw. Biasing means normally biases the upper jaw member into its closed position over the lower jaw portion and the button portion into an elevated position. When the button portion is depressed by finger action, the upper jaw member is opened by the cam action and at a point of maximum opening, the upper jaw member moves clear of its cam surface and snaps shut. Release of pressure on the button portion allows the actuator to return to its position.
