Methods, computer program products, and/or systems are provided that perform the following operations: obtaining source display content; identifying one or more objectionable portions included in the source display content; modifying the one or more objectionable portions included in the source display content to filter content in the one or more objectionable portions; generating a filtered display content, wherein the filtered display content includes the one or more modified objectionable portions and one or more non-objectionable portions of the source display content; and providing the filtered display content for rendering of a shared presentation.

Cognitive filtering of content from shared screen display

Monitoring and automatically remediating issues that arise at run-time during integrations between Application Program Interfaces (APIs) of two or more endpoint products over an integration framework. The monitoring is facilitated by inserting specialized modules into the integration framework that detects changes in the outputs of the integrated endpoint products and attempts to remedy them by automatically adjusting the output in-transit towards a destination endpoint. The specialized modules can be enhanced by machine learning algorithms trained on previously successful remedies. Remedies may be directed towards schema variations and performance drifts, among others.

Automatic and continuous monitoring and remediation of API integrations

A method and system for processing a request. Extracted elements of the request are categorized in accordance with an ontology model, thereby generating ontology components assigned to the extracted elements. A knowledge base includes data indicative of solutions for requests. The solutions for requests in the knowledge base are categorized in accordance with the ontology model. Categorizing the elements includes for each element: determining a concept of the element wherein the element is an instance or a class of the determined concept and determining relations between the elements, wherein the ontology components include the determined concepts, instances and relations. The knowledge base is searched using the generated ontology components, thereby identifying solutions for the request. The identified solutions are provided.

Processing a request

A method, system, and program product for generating an automated source code log statement is provided. The method includes retrieving source code of a software application and associating logs and associated semantics with the source code. The source code is parsed and analyzed and log statements are generated. Attributes within the source code are identified. The log statements are inserted into the source code with respect to a specified source code level of the source code and the source code comprising the log statements is presented to a developer. A command for modifying the logs is received. In response, the logs are modified resulting in modified logs. The source code comprising the log statements and modified logs is executed.

Automated source code log generation

A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a computing device, information for composing a first enhanced plug-in, wherein the first enhanced plug-in includes one or more logical components for invoking the first enhanced plug-in by an application running in a different framework as the first enhanced plug-in; receiving, by the computing device, information for creating a workflow that includes a series of a plurality of enhanced plug-ins including the first enhanced plug-in and one or more subsequent second enhanced plug-ins; and invoking, by the computing device, the workflow, wherein the invoking the workflow causes the first enhanced plug-in to receive data from an application running on the same or different framework as the first enhanced plug-in, process the data, and forward the processed data as input data to a particular one of the one or more subsequent second enhanced plug-ins or an endpoint application.

A method and system for processing a request document including a request. The request document is processed using a question analysis function of a question answering system, thereby extracting elements of the request. The question answering system has multiple functions including the question analysis function. The extracted elements are categorized in accordance with an ontology model, thereby generating ontology components assigned to the extracted elements. A knowledge base includes data indicative of solutions for requests. The solutions for requests in the knowledge base are categorized in accordance with the ontology model. The knowledge base is searched using the generated ontology components, thereby identifying solutions for the request. The identified solutions are provided.

Processing request documents

Mechanisms for optimizing the storage allocation in a virtual desktop environment (VDE) managing a shared storage capacity, are provided. The shared storage capacity includes previously stored files, each being associated with a respective unique first file identifier, the VDE providing a virtual desktop to a processing device of a user. Upon reception of a first write request for writing a second file specified in the request, a second file identifier of the specified second file is determined and compared with the first file identifier of any first file stored to the shared storage capacity. A pointer to the stored first file associated with that first file identifier is created if the second file identifier is identical to one of the first file identifiers and, if not, the specified second file associated with the second file identifier is stored in the shared storage capacity.

Optimizing storage allocation in a virtual desktop environment

A method for managing jobs scheduled for execution on a target system in which some jobs may spawn additional jobs scheduled for execution on the target system including intercepting jobs scheduled for execution in the target system, determining whether there is resource sufficiency in the target system for executing jobs, responsive to an affirmative determination of resource sufficiency, releasing previously intercepted jobs for execution in the target system, computing a limit of a number of jobs which can be concurrently scheduled by an external system to the target system, and transmitting the computed limit to the external system.

Managing job execution

A system or computer usable program product for managing jobs scheduled for execution on a target system in which some jobs may spawn additional jobs scheduled for execution on the target system including intercepting jobs scheduled for execution in the target system, determining whether there is resource sufficiency in the target system for executing jobs, responsive to an affirmative determination of resource sufficiency, releasing previously intercepted jobs for execution in the target system, computing a limit of a number of jobs which can be concurrently scheduled by an external system to the target system, and transmitting the computed limit to the external system.

This disclosure describes monitoring the execution of jobs in a work plan. In an embodiment, a system maintains a risk level associated with the critical job to represent whether the execution of a job preceding the critical job has a problem, and it maintains the list associated with the critical job so as to quickly identify the preceding job which may cause a delay to the critical job execution.

A solution for scheduling execution of jobs is proposed. In this case, a long-term plan expressed in terms of streams of jobs is created in advance (for example, for some months). An actual production plan (for a production period P(p) typically of one day) is then generated by extracting a corresponding portion of the long-term plan and expanding the streams into their jobs. In the proposed solution, a policy for the long-term plan is defined; for example, this policy specifies a minimum length L(min) and a maximum length L(max) of the long-term plan. The (remaining) length of the long-term plan is checked after each generation of the production plan; if the long-term plan is shorter than the minimum length L (min), it is expanded automatically up to the maximum length L(max).

Scheduling execution of work units with policy based extension of long-term plan

A method in a data processing system for managing jobs. A change to a job receiving that is un-instantiated. A reservation for the job is created. Instantiated jobs for an instance of the job are monitored corresponding to the reservation, and applying the change to the instance of the job responsive to identifying the instantiated job.

Mechanism to create a reservation against a future scheduling object instantiation

A method () and a corresponding system for allocating resources in a hierarchical data processing system are proposed. The system includes a plurality of nodes that are arranged in a tree. Each leaf-node, or client, controls corresponding local resources, while each intermediate node, or domain manager, controls global resources that are visible to all its dependent nodes; the global resources defined on a root node, or master domain manager, are then visible to all the nodes of the system. Whenever a job, being submitted () on a generic client, requests a set of resources for its execution, the request is sent () through the tree to the master domain manager. The master domain manager allocates () the corresponding global resources as soon as they are all available; this event enables () its child node (in a path to the client) to perform the same operations, and so on down to the client itself. Once the client has allocated () the corresponding local resources, the execution of the job can be launched ().

Allocating resources across multiple nodes in a hierarchical data processing system according to a decentralized policy

A workload scheduler supporting an efficient distribution and balancing of the workload is proposed. The scheduler maintains (-) a profile for each job; the profile (build using statistics of previous executions of the job) defines an estimated usage of different resources of the system by the job. The scheduler tends to select (-) the jobs with complementary resource requirements (according to a combination of their attributes); this process can be carried out using either a heuristic approach (-) or an optimization approach (-). As a result, the jobs that will be submitted are very likely to consume different resources of the system; in this way, any contention for the different resources is strongly reduced.
