A controller for detecting an unwanted object in an agricultural machine. The agricultural machine includes a pair of rollers for receiving crop material therebetween. The pair of rollers define a variable roller opening therebetween. The controller is configured to: receive a roller-opening-value that is representative of the size of the roller opening; determine a strength-value based on the roller-opening-value and a roller-speed-value, wherein the roller-speed-value is representative of the rate of change of the roller-opening-value, with respect to time; compare the strength-value with a threshold-value; and if the strength-value exceeds the threshold-value, then provide an output signal that is indicative of an unwanted object being detected.

Controller for an agricultural machine

An unloading apparatus is arranged to direct material to a container. A controller determines a build-up speed of the material in the container; in accordance with the determined build-up speed, determine a rate of change to be applied when setting an attribute of at least one of the unloading apparatus and container; and set an attribute of at least one of the unloading apparatus and container in accordance with the determined rate of change in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

Unloading system for agricultural harvesting machines

A controller for an unloading system. The unloading system includes an unloading vehicle having an unloading apparatus and a collection vehicle having a container. The unloading apparatus is configured to direct material to the container driven in the vicinity of the unloading vehicle. The controller is configured to receive a user input signal representative of user operation of a vehicle input device associated with driving the unloading vehicle or the collection vehicle and set an attribute of the unloading system in accordance with the user input signal in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

Unloading system for agricultural harvesting machine

A forage harvester including a header for picking up a swath from a ground surface. The header includes a first and a second distance sensor adapted to measure a sensor-to-target distance respectively along a first and second sensor axis. The first distance sensor is mounted at a first lateral end of the header, and the second distance sensor is mounted at a second lateral end of the header. The first and second distance sensors are positioned such that, when the forage harvester is placed on an even ground surface, the first sensor axis crosses the second sensor axis before reaching the even ground surface in front of the harvester.

Forage harvester swath sensor

A controller for an unloading system. The unloading system comprises an unloading vehicle having an unloading apparatus and a collection vehicle having a container. The unloading apparatus is configured to direct material to the container driven in the vicinity of the unloading vehicle. The controller is configured to: receive image data representative of at least a portion of the container; receive a path information signal representative of a path that is to be followed by the unloading vehicle or the collection vehicle; and set an attribute of the unloading apparatus, the unloading vehicle, or the collection vehicle in accordance with the image data and the path information signal in order to direct the material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

Unloading systems

A sensor arrangement for a forage harvester. The sensor arrangement includes a frame, a CCD or CMOS camera mounted to the frame in a first position, and a time-of-flight camera mounted to the frame in a second position. The CCD or CMOS camera is mounted to the frame in the first position such that, when a filling wagon is located with respect to the forage harvester in a filling position, a first image of at least a portion of the filling wagon is capturable by the first camera. The time-of-flight camera is mounted to the frame in the second position such that, when the filling wagon is located with respect to the forage harvester in the filling position, a second image of a segment of the portion is capturable by the second camera.

Sensor arrangement for monitoring an unloading process of an agricultural harvester

Calibrating a distance sensor on an agricultural vehicle provided for measuring the distance between the sensor and a set of points on a ground surface in front of the agricultural vehicle, includes: performing a reference measurement when the agricultural vehicle is standing on a paved and substantially flat ground surface; processing the results of the reference measurement to reference data for use as reference during further measurements; storing the reference data in a memory.

Unloading apparatus controller for agricultural harvesting machines

A label printer comprises input means operable by a user to input label data. The label printer also has display means and control means configured to receive said input label data from the input means. The control means is arranged to control the display to display an image of a label defined by said input label data in a label display area. The control means is configured to cause the display to display said image of the label such that a first dimension of the image of the label is decreased with respect to the corresponding dimension of said display area so that all of said image of the label is displayed in said display area.
