A sliding body is proximally positioned in relation to the main body, and can slide in a parallel manner in relation to the axis thereof. The sliding body includes a receiver, a fixing device and a contacting device. An electrode that can be subjected to a high frequency, including a rigid electrode carrier having one external, insulated conductive wire, can be positioned in the resectoscope such that it can axially slide beyond the distal end of the shaft tube. In the assembly position, the electrode carrier extends through the shaft tube and the main body into the receiver, and can be fixed by the fixing device and contacted by the contacting device. Urological electrosurgical resectoscope

The invention relates to an electrode that can be subjected to a high frequency, the electrode including an electrode carrier having at least one external, insulated conductive wire. The electrode is used in a urological resectoscope having an axially extending shaft tube, the proximal end thereof being fixed to a main body. A sliding body is proximally positioned in relation to the main body, and can slide in a parallel manner in relation to the axis thereof. The sliding body includes a receiver into which the proximal end region of the electrode carrier can be introduced. The carrier penetrates the main body and is positioned such that it can slide axially in the shaft tube assembly position in order to fix a fixing section of the electrode carrier via a fixing device pertaining to the sliding body, and in order to contact a first contacting section of the electrode carrier via a first contacting device pertaining to the main body. The fixing section is proximally arranged in relation to the first contacting section.

A urological resectoscope having an axially extending shaft tube, the proximal end thereof being fixed to a main body. A sliding body is proximally positioned in relation to the main body, and can slide in a parallel manner in relation to the axis thereof. The sliding body includes a receiver, a fixing device and a contacting device. An electrode which can be subjected to a high frequency, including an electrode carrier having one external, insulated conductive wire, can be positioned in the resectoscope such that it can axially slide beyond the distal end of the shaft tube. In the assembly position, the electrode carrier extends through the shaft tube and the main body into the receiver, and can be fixed thereto by the fixing device and contacted therein by the contacting device. The contacting device defines an opening of the sliding body, the opening completely cutting through in a transversal direction relative to the receiver, and extends perpendicularly relative thereto, to a depth on the other side thereof. In the contacted state, the contacting device includes a clamping connector that is designed for pivotable clamping on a contact section of the electrode carrier.

Urological resectoscope comprising a contacting device

A continuously rinsing double-sheath endoscope, which includes an inner sheath and an outer sheath. The inner sheath includes a feed duct and receives an optics. The outer sheath surrounds the inner sheath and cooperates with the inner sheath to subtend a return flow duct. The outer sheath is fitted at its distal end zone with at least one aperture to establish fluid communication between the return duct and the ambience of the outer sheath. Cross-sectional geometric centers of gravity of the inner and outer sheaths are mutually shifted along most of the length of the return-flow duct subtended between them.

Continuously rinsing double-sheath endoscope

An endoscopic implement including two electrodes connected to the terminals of a high frequency generator and mounted to a distal end of an elongated insertion element. An insulator is disposed between and secured to the two electrodes. One of the electrodes is mounted to a lateral surface of the insulator at a location that is laterally spaced from an axis of the insertion element. The other electrode is mounted at a distal end of the insulator.

Two-electrode endoscopic implement

An hf resectoscope implement for cutting body tissue in a body cavity filled with an electrically conducting fluid and comprising a loop support and a loop-shaped cutting electrode mounted distally on the support. A plane of the cutting electrode slants relative to a longitudinal axis of the loop support. The implement also includes a neutral electrode mounted on the support. An insulator is mounted at the loop support between the electrodes such that any straight geometric line between the electrodes passes through the insulator. The neutral electrode and the insulator are configured to not significantly hamper the view available via optics fitted in the resectoscope stem tube.
