A soft handover method with gateway site diversity between a first nominal gateway to a relay satellite of a space telecommunication system and a second redundant gateway to the same satellite comprises a soft handover preparation phase, and a soft handover execution phase that are executed in succession. During the execution phase, a first switchover of the traffic at the ground segment level to the second redundant gateway, and a second switchover at the level of the segment on board the satellite between a first nominal access link of the first nominal gateway and a second redundant access link of the second redundant gateway are finely synchronized.

A method and a system for dynamic allocation of power for a satellite access network comprises a step for acquisition of a signal representative of an instantaneous power available on board at least one satellite and of a signal representative of the data rate in each resource allocation manager for the satellite access network, a step for conversion, for each resource allocation manager, of the signal representative of the data rate in the resource allocation manager into a value corresponding to the power consumed on board the satellite in order to obtain this data rate, a step for calculating a total power margin equal to the difference between the power available on board the satellite and the sum of the powers consumed by each resource allocation manager, a power allocation step, the value of power allocated being a function of the calculated total power margin.

Method for the dynamic assignment of the instantaneous power available from a satellite and associated system

A method of dynamic resource allocation for at least one satellite access network associated with at least one telecommunications satellite comprises a frequency-flexible payload, the at least one satellite access network comprises a plurality of resource allocation controllers. The method comprises the acquisition of the bandwidth desired by each resource allocation controller, reconfiguration of the payload of the at least one satellite considering the bandwidth desired by each resource allocation controller and the frequency resources available on board each satellite, and a step of frequency allocation to the various resource allocation controllers, considering the bandwidth desired by each resource allocation controller and the frequency resources available on board each satellite.
