A system and method for monitoring processors operating in lockstep to detect mismatches in pending pipelined instructions being executed by the processors. A lockstep monitor implemented in hardware is provided to detect the mismatches in the pending pipelined instructions executing on the lockstep processors and to initiate an auto-recovery operation at the processors if a mismatch is detected.

Embodiments of a graphics controller, display controller and method for compensating for low-response-time (LRT) displays are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. In some embodiments, an interleaved pixel stream is provided by a graphics controller to a display controller. The display controller may select low-response-time compensation for each pixel of the current frame based on the pixels of the current frame and corresponding pixels of the prior frame without the use of a frame buffer on a display panel.

An architecture for a smart liquid crystal display (LCD) panel interface is described. The architecture enables a circuit to transfer only updated display data to the interface. When there are no display data updates to transfer, the circuit is placed in the lowest power state to reduce power consumption while the interface displays information locally stored.
