The invention relates to a material for use as a pad in high field and/or very high field magnetic resonance imaging instrument, comprising at least one polar solvent having a melting point of 14° C. to 50° C., a dispersant and a dielectric charge. The invention relates also to a pad used in field of high field and/or very high field magnetic resonance imaging made of at least such a material.

A method for controlling the distribution of the RF magnetic field in a magnetic resonance imaging system, having steps of: placing a cage coil in a permanent magnet supplying a permanent magnetic field along a first axis, and supplying an RF signal to the cage coil in order for the coil to generate an RF magnetic field rotating in a plane that runs perpendicular to the first axis; and putting in place an electromagnetic resonator, the resonance mode of which is excited by the rotating magnetic field, the resonator being placed in a position inside or outside the cage coil and at a distance from a region to be analyzed of an object to be placed in the cage coil, the resonance mode and the position of the resonator in relation to the volumetric antenna being suitable for adjusting the intensity of the rotating magnetic field in an area of the region to be analyzed.

A portable device includes first and second connectors capable of guiding an electromagnetic wave, a sample carrier installed between the first premier and second connectors and including a cavity housing a sample, an electronic module including an electromagnetic wave generator, and a processing system capable of analysing the electromagnetic wave exiting the second connector in order to deliver a first dielectric permittivity measurement and/or a second magnetic permeability measurement, a computer device including a control system capable of controlling the operation of the electronic module and of recovering each first or second measurement, and a portable container housing the first and second connectors, the sample carrier, the electronic module and the computer device.

The invention relates to the technical field of measuring electric and magnetic properties, and specifically relates to a sample holder () to be connected to a device () for supporting a sample holder in order to measure the dielectric and/or magnetic properties of a sample (), said supporting device () comprising: first and second connectors () suitable for allowing an electromagnetic wave to pass therethrough, and for being connected to a means () for transmitting the electromagnetic wave and to a means () for circulating the electromagnetic wave after passing through the supporting device () and the sample holder (), respectively, which is suitable for transmitting all or part of the electromagnetic wave from the first connector () to the second connector () according to a reference axis (x) and for being removably arranged therebetween, the sample holder () comprising an outer tubular body () that is coaxial to said reference axis (x), and a cavity () in which the sample () is to be housed, the sample holder further comprising sidewalls () positioned transversely to the reference axis (x) on either side of the cavity (), which said walls thus laterally seal.
