The compensator comprises, in known manner, a body (1) in which are defined two pressure chambers (2, 3), a piston (4) carrying a valve (6) capable of bringing the chambers into communication with one another, a bearing mechanism (8, 81) and a reaction mechanism. The reaction mechanism comprises a second piston (5) sliding inside the first, a deformable member (8), and a locking mechanism (10, 11), in such a manner that the output pressure (P1) as a function of the input pressure (Po) has more than two slopes.

Multislope compensator

A pneumatic brake booster of the tandem type for the brake boosting of motor vehicles, comprises a movable hub (15) driving a push rod (11) by of a reaction disk (17), a closed containment composed of a front shell (1) on the same side as the master cylinder and of a rear shell (3) on the same side as the actuating pedal, which define a front chamber and a rear chamber separated by a separating element (5) having an annular partition (9), and a front piston (25) and a rear piston (35) respectively arranged coaxially in the front and rear chambers. These chambers are themselves respectively divided by a sealing diaphragm (27, 37) fixed to each of the pistons (25, 35), in order to define, within each of these, a sub-chamber of constant pressure (21, 31) and a sub-chamber of variable pressure (23, 33), the pistons (25, 35) being movable in the axial direction under the effect of the differences in the pressures prevailing between the sub-chambers of each chamber. The annual partition (9) of the separating element (5) is simply put in place and bears on the bottom of the rear shell (3) of the containment, and the pistons (25, 35) are fixed to one another and to the movable hub (15).

The actuating device of a braking mechanism comprises an electric driving motor and a gear pinion meshing with a first gear wheel integral with a screw screwed into a nut pressing on a plunger for application of the brake. The nut 13 carries a second gear wheel 22 having number of teeth which differs very slightly from that of the first gear wheel 31, for example by one tooth, to make a drive system with this first wheel in differential translation of the nut 13. Application to an electrically controlled and quick release brake.

The brake motor comprises an inserted piston (26) slideably mounted in a passage (24) formed in the front wall (4) of the brake piston (1) which has, near the other end (31) of the inserted piston (26), a counter-bearing surface (34) facing inward, thus enabling the engagement of an actuating tool (0) to exert, via the inserted piston (26), an axial thrust on the rotating member (16) of the automatic adjustment device of the brake motor and, at the same tine, an axial load in the opposite direction on the brake piston (1) enabling the friction clutch (18, 19) to release between the brake piston (1) and the rotating member (16), after which an axial translation (F) of the assembly enables the resetting of the automatic adjustment device of the brake motor.

The invention is in the field of electrical switching. The contactor includes a control member (5) which moves in translation and is placed between two bars (12) and (13) made from an electrically conducting material. The control member includes a monobloc part interposed between the two bars and has bearing surfaces (5', 5') enabling the control of the pivoting of the bars about axes perpendicular to the translation axis of the control member (5), to produce a sequential opening or closing of one set of pairs of contacts (8, 11) and of another set of pairs of contacts (9, 10). The invention is applicable to the control of the electrical powering of a pump to maintain the pressure of a fluid within a predetermined range.

The invention concerns a brake actuator with automatic adjustment incorporating a screw and nut actuator mechanism (32, 34) whose elongation is controlled by a screw and nut device with reversible pitch (44) and a unidirectional clutch (56) sensitive to the relative movement between the fixed body (20) and a control piston (24). The brake actuator incorporates an automatic device (68) momentarily disengaging the actuator mechanism (32, 34) when the rotational torque of the nut (32) becomes too great. The brake actuator also incorporates a manual device for resetting the automatic adjustment to zero.

The invention concerns a brake actuator with automatic adjustment, of the type incorporating a screw and nut system with reversible pitch (46, 48) situated between a working piston (40) and a control component (34), the screw and nut system transmitting a force between the control component (34) and the working piston (40) when relative rotation between the screw and the nut is locked by a locking device (50-54). The brake actuator incorporates an automatic relative axial positioning device (56) between the control component (34) and the working piston (40) providing a predetermined approach travel between the working piston (40) and a friction component (42) capable of being pushed by the brake actuator.

The subject of the invention is a disc brake with automatic adjustment of the type incorporating a caliper (10) mounted to slide on a fixed support by way of at least one axial pin, a brake motor (34) acting directly on a first friction element (26) and as a result of reaction via the caliper (10) on a second friction element (30). The brake motor (34) incorporates a mechanical control (48, 50, 54) acting on a hydraulic control piston (36) via an automatic-adjustment device. The automatic-adjustment device is formed by a screw (68) -and-nut (88) system of reversible pitch, which is actuated by the piston (36) beyond a predetermined stroke of the latter. According to the invention, a monitoring piston (80) immobilizes a sleeve (114) fixed in rotation to the nut (88), when the hydraulic control pressure reaches a predetermined value. The invention is used for the braking of motor vehicles.

Disc brake with automatic adjustment incorporating a calliper (10) mounted so as to slide on a fixed support by way of at least one axial pillar, a brake actuator (34) acting directly upon a first friction component, and by reaction through the calliper, upon a second friction component, the brake actuator (34) incorporating a mechanical control (48-50-60) acting upon a hydraulic control piston (36) through an automatic adjustment device (66), the adjustment device (66) being formed by a screw and nut system (68-70), which has a pitch which allows reverse action, and is capable of being actuated by the hydraulic piston (36) beyond a predetermined travel of the latter, the adjustment device (66) incorporating a sleeve (104) firmly fixed in rotation to the nut (70) and cooperating with annular control piston (80) which is capable of moving so as to be sealed relative to the screw (68) and relative to the brake actuator (34), the control piston (80) immobilizing the sleeve (104) in rotation and in translation when the hydraulic pressure acting on the hydraulic control piston (36) reaches a predetermined value. The screw and nut system (68-70) is positioned between the mechanical control (48-50-60) and the control piston (80); in addition, the brake actuator (34) incorporates a device for resetting manually to zero (114), which is capable of acting upon the nut (70) of the screw and nut system (68-70) in order to reset the automatic adjustment device (66) to zero.
