This electrical switch (1) consists of a flat spring, profiled in order to provide both a contact function and a spring function; the flat spring (1) includes a first leg (2) which can be deformed by bearing on a fixed pivot pin (3) of a support (4), and a second leg (5), which can move at the same time as the first leg deforms and whose end (5a) can assume either of two positions for contacting pins (14,15) of an electrical circuit. The switch according to the invention is less bulky than the usual switches by virtue of its flat shape, less expensive to manufacture, because it only consists of a single component, and easy to install on its support.

A two buss system to accomplish; 1) communication from contact pairs located at vehicle access points such as a vehicle door or trunk to a central controller; and 2) transmitting current for energization of actuators to implement respective commands such as normal lock or super lock. The contact pairs function to provide entry ports for commands as well as providing status signals of various points of interest. The contact pairs are connected to individual output ports of a counter. Each contact pair is sequentially pulsed by a single pulse of a pulse train provided by the central controller. If a contact pair is engaged or closed when pulsed, the pulse will cause a coincident buss loading to occur. The central controller monitors buss loading and is appraised of the contact status by the coincidence (or lack thereof) of a pulse and a respectively loaded buss. Upon determination of the contact statuses, the central controller accesses a look-up table and then implements the respective commands by energizing one of several relays that define path for flow of current to respective actuators.

An actuator which is physically secured to the locking mechanism by means of a first electrical connector. The motor of the actuator is provided with power through a second electrical connector which supplies power thereto through the first connector. The second connector also provides connection to a status contactor which provides locked and unlocked status indication. In this manner, the second connector accomplishes a dual function. Consequently, fasteners as required to secure the actuator to the lock mechanism are eliminated. A modular assembly is thus produced in which the interface housing carries a single connector which can be easily connected to the cable harness of the vehicle. Therefore only one electrical connection is required when mounting the lock in the door of the vehicle.

The invention relates to a device for monitoring the closure of the opening points of a motor vehicle, in which each opening point is equipped with a closure contact which is connected to a central unit. It is characterized in that the central unit is connected to all the opening points by a single common line (8) with two conductors (31, 32), in that the central unit comprises at least one periodic-signal generator (28) connected to the said two conductors, in that each opening point comprises a passive receiver circuit tuned to the frequency of the periodic signal supplied by the said generator (28) of the central unit, the said passive circuit being connected in series with the closure contact of the said opening point, and in that the said device comprises, furthermore, indicia of a closure fault in response to the variations of the signal generated by the generator in response to the actuation of the corresponding closure contact.

The invention relates to a device for the centrallized control of the opening points of a motor vehicle, in which the opening points have electrical actuators, including two locking states, and comprising at least one electric motor, and some opening points have a mechanically controlled device with a lock key sending commands to a central control unit which also receives commands coming particularly from the ignition key and/or from a remote-control set and from an anti-attack button. The device according to the invention is characterized in that the central control unit is connected to each of the opening points by a single line (8) with three conductors (31, 32, 33) which will be used sometimes for power transfer and sometimes for information transfer, in that in each opening point the actuator is connected permanently between the three conductors of the said line (8), and in that the central control unit selectively applies to each of the said conductors (31, 32, 33) the voltages necessary for the execution of a sequence.

A motor-speed reducer includes a driving input shaft, an output shaft and a deformable coupling coupling the input shaft to the output shaft. The coupling includes a worm and a speed reducer driven by the worm. A sensor is also provided for detecting torque between the input shaft and the output shaft during operation of the device which causes deformation of the coupling. The sensor includes two electrically conductive tracks. One track is associated with an input side of the coupling and the other track is associated with an output side of the coupling. An electrical circuit is connected to the tracks and monitors movement of each track to detect a change in torque as a function of a change in the movement of one of the electrically conductive tracks relative to the other track.

The latch comprises a keeper (2), a fork member (3) provided with two branches (7, 8) for retaining the keeper (2), a catch (9) movable to a position for locking the fork member (3) on the keeper (2), and a control lever (12) for the catch (9) for unlocking the fork member (3).
