The invention concerns an underwater water treatment unit which has specific cleaning means which are suitable for cleaning filtration membranes in the unconventional conditions associated with use at great or very great depths, as well as a method for cleaning the membrane of the underwater water treatment unit.

Underwater water treatment unit and method for cleaning said unit

The present invention is a filtration system and a method for cleaning a filtration system. The filtration system comprising a hydraulic circuit Cp recycling the permeate stream to the feed side of the membrane and/or a hydraulic circuit Cr recycling the retentate stream to the feed side of said membrane. The method injects an amount of a chemical product into the filtration system in the hydraulic circuit Cp or in the hydraulic circuit Cr or upstream of the cross-flow filtration membrane, setting the proportion of recycled permeate stream or recycled retentate stream collected in the hydraulic circuit Cp and/or Cr to enable the recycling of a significant amount of unreacted chemical product having passed through the cross-flow filtration membrane to the feed side of said cross-flow filtration membrane.

Cleaning method of a water-filtration system under operation

A method for testing an underwater filtration system as well as the underwater testing device which enables the operation of filtration systems in aquatic conditions. The testing method includes introducing a flow of water into the underwater testing device via a water inlet, said underwater testing device including at least one filter, bringing said flow in the underwater testing device up to said filter, obtaining a filtrate downstream of said filter and discharging said filtrate into the environment via a discharge pipe. The underwater testing device is placed underwater at a depth of at least 500 meters.

Water treatment in at least one membrane filtration unit for enhanced hydrocarbon recovery

A water treatment method is provided. The method includes filtering water in a membrane filtration unit including at least one membrane filtration module, collecting a permeate and collecting a retentate at the outlet of the membrane filtration module, withdrawing solid materials and/or hydrocarbons contained in the retentate, in order to provide a treated retentate, recycling the treated retentate at the inlet of the membrane filtration module, and providing a treated water flow from the permeate from membrane filtration module(s). An installation adapted for applying this method is also provided.
