A mechanical service tool that may include one or more anchors, a cutter, a communication and control system, and one or more sensors, as well as methods for operating the mechanical service tool, are provided. The one or more anchors may extend radially from the mechanical service tool and the cutter may move relative to the mechanical service tool. The cutter may include a drilling bit. The communication and control system may obtain remote commands that control the cutter, the one or more anchors, or both. The one or more sensors may detect operational conditions of the mechanical service tool and may be operatively coupled to the communication and control system.

A rope socket assembly, wireline logging heads that include the rope socket assembly, and processes for assembling same. In some examples, the rope socket assembly for a wireline logging head can include a housing, a retainer, a rope socket, a separator, a seal, a pressure cap, a sleeve, a pressure compensating piston at least partially disposed about the sleeve, an electrical bulkhead housing disposed within the sleeve, and a conductor bundle disposed within the electrical bulkhead housing. The conductor bundle can include a plurality of terminals configured to receive a plurality of wires from a wireline and form an electrical connection therebetween. Each terminal can be configured to seal a terminal end of one of the plurality of wires from the wireline.

Rope socket assembly and wireline logging heads including same

A debris removal apparatus includes a housing. The housing has a chamber located therein. The chamber has at least one closed end. The debris removal apparatus can also include a first flow path. The first flow patch can be in communication with an opening in the first end of the housing. The first flow path can also have an exit, and a diverter can be located adjacent to the exit. A port can be located between the diverter and the exit of the first flow path. The port can be in fluid communication with the first flow path and the chamber. The chamber can be in communication with a second flow path, and a screen operatively positioned between the chamber and second flow path.
