An adjustment mechanism for a slide of a motor vehicle seat, the adjustment mechanism comprising a worm screw, a first nut and a second nut rotatably receiving the worm screw, a support, and two resilient buffers received respectively between the first nut and the support, and between the second nut and the support. The adjustment mechanism further comprises a band forming a housing for receiving the two nuts and the two buffers and thereby forming a pre-assembled unit prior to being mounted on the support. The first and second nuts have tapped bores which have threads that start at different angular positions, so that screwing the worm screw into the nuts generates a gap between the first and second nuts.

Adjustment mechanism for a vehicle seat slide

A hinge joining system for an automobile seat includes a seat back flange and a seat pan flange. A hinge mechanism is attached to one of the flanges. An assembly fastener component is connected to the hinge mechanism and passes through an opening in the selected flange, the opening including a raised tapered collar. A thrust component is connected to the assembly fastener component, the thrust component having a bore for radially gripping the raised tapered collar and axially pressing the collar against the selected flange. The assembly fastener component has a tapered male section fitting into the tapered collar, and the bore of the thrust component is also tapered for gripping the tapered collar between the bore and the tapered male section when the thrust component is pressed against the selected flange.

A vehicle seat comprising two frames mounted so as to pivot relative to one another about an axis of rotation by a pivot mechanism comprising two side rigid plates fixed to the frames of the seat at least one of the side plates having an external relief arrangement which is disposed about the axis of rotation and co-operates, by meshing, with a complementary relief arrangement of the corresponding frame. This side plate is also integral with a single central fixing member onto which a complementary threaded fixing member is screwed, applying a flange against the frame of the seat in the direction of the side plate.

This concerns a vehicle seat including a back pivoting mounted on a seat part by means of a locking mechanism able to be activated by a user to unlock the seat back, the seat comprising additionally an inertia safety device adapted to drive the locking mechanism into its locked position in the event of the vehicle being subjected to an impact. This safety device includes an input component which is driven by the pivoting of the seat back and which is connected to the locking mechanism by means of an inertia clutch.

The slide includes a fixed section and a movable section sliding in the fixed section. An edge of the fixed section, equipped with a row of notches, is located in the direct vicinity of a sidewall of the movable section. A lock, movable crosswise to the sliding direction, is equipped with teeth guided in the cutouts made in the wall and mating with the notches to lock the slide. The wall includes a stop, such as a folded portion, located opposite the edge. The dimensions and the material of the teeth are determined so that when a sliding force exceeding a predetermined value is applied, the teeth deform by deflecting parallel to the folded portion and their ends are then located opposite the folded portion preventing the lock from unlocking.

The slide for a removable automobile vehicle seat includes a U-shaped female section (2), attached to the floor of the vehicle, and a slider (3) equipped with anchoring means to which the seat (1) can be attached, the flanges (21) of the female U-shaped section being shaped so as to constitute guide paths for the guide elements (4) located laterally on either side of the slider. The guide elements are attached by transverse pins (5) which are attached to the slider and constitute the said anchoring means to attach the seat to the slider in a removable manner.

The male section (3) is locked onto the female section (1) of the slide rail by means of a lock (21) comprising longitudinal locking means (25, 45), cooperating, in the locked position, with a toothing (17) provided on both flanges (7) of the channel section, constituting the female section, and side retaining means (47), which trap the edges of the flanges (7) so as to keep them from moving apart. Particular applicability: slide rails for motor vehicle seats.
