A high-voltage cable sealing end () has a primary volume () and a secondary volume () fluidically connected thereto, which are filled with an insulating fluid. The primary volume () and the secondary volume () are sealed with respect to the atmosphere surrounding the high-voltage cable sealing end (). The secondary volume () can be disconnected from the primary volume () via a separable connection () which can be cut off in a fluid-tight manner. A drying agent, which draws moisture out of the insulating fluid, is introduced into the secondary volume ().

The electrical bushing passes successively through an enclosure at intermediate temperature between ambient temperature and cryogenic temperature, and an enclosure at ambient temperature, and it comprises a central electrical conductor surrounded by an electrically insulating sheath. According to the invention, an electrically conductive screen connected to ground potential surrounds the insulating sheath over a section that extends from the end of the bushing that is in contact with the enclosure at cryogenic temperature at least as far as the junction between the enclosure at intermediate temperature and the enclosure at ambient temperature. In the invention, the synthetic material end includes a composite insert that is placed between the inner insulator and the outer insulating sleeve of the cable, the insert generally being in the form of a sheath surrounding the inner insulator over a partially-stripped portion of the cable, and being made up of a resistive portion of high resistivity, and of a semi-conductive portion of lower resistivity, the interface between said resistive and semi-conductive portions forming a deflector, the end of the resistive portion that is remote from the deflector being electrically connected to the central conductor of the cable, and the end of the semi-conductive portion that is remote from the deflector being electrically connected to the outer semi-conductor of the cable. Synthetic material end for a DC electric cable

A terminal structure () for a superconducting cable () is described. It consists of a conductor () and an insulator () that surrounds the conductor (), wherein the superconducting cable () has a core with a superconducting conductor () and a layer of insulation that surrounds the conductor (), and wherein the core is arranged in such a way that it can move longitudinally in a cryostat. The conductor () of the terminal structure () is electrically connected with the superconducting conductor () or with a normal conductor () that is connected with the superconducting conductor () by means of a tubular part () made of an electrically conductive material, wherein the superconducting conductor () or the normal conductor () can slide in the part () in the direction of the superconductor.

Terminal structure

A device for feeding electricity under high voltage to a superconductive apparatus is situated in a cryostat. The device comprises two bushings each comprising a first connection terminal situated outside the cryostat, and a second connection terminal situated inside the cryostat. According to the invention, the distance D between the first connection terminals is greater than the distance d between the second connection terminals, the distances D and d being sufficient to avoid electric discharge either between the first terminals or between the second terminals. Advantageously, the cryostat includes an enlargement situated above the two bushings and between them.

Device for feeding electricity to a superconductive apparatus under medium or high voltage

A connection arrangement for electrically interconnecting the shields of so-called 'cold-dielectric' superconductor cables in the context of a muiltiphase superconductive electrical link, each super-conductor cable comprising a central superconductor presenting superconductivity at cryogenic temperature, electrical insulation surrounding the central conductor, a shield surrounding the electrical insulation, and a cryostat surrounding said shield. According to the invention, the arrangement comprises a superconductive link between said shields, said superconductive link comprising a link superconductor and a cryogenic sheath surrounding said link superconductor, each of the two ends of said link superconductor being connected to a respective one of said shields by connection means that are both electrically and thermally conductive. The invention is particularly applicable to high voltage electricity.
