Drawing/false-twist-texturizing process and novel type of oven enabling

Device for the heat treatment of moving yarns, during, for example, a texturizing stretching operation. The yarn is subject to two successive treatments, one at a high temperature, the other at a normal treatment temperature. The device is one wherein these successive phases are obtained by means of a heating unit formed by a cylindrical assembly comprising two heating zones on either side of which are provided guide means for the yarn. The zones are heated by means of two resistance elements embedded inside the cylindrical assembly. The two resistance elements are mounted in parallel, offset with respect to each other along the length of the unit, and each associated with a thermocouple element enabling temperature to be regulated accurately.

Method making it possible to control the temperature prevailing inside a high-temperature oven employed for the treatment of a synthetic yarn, especially during an operation of texturing by false twisting, said method consisting, in the case of a given substance (count and chemical composition), in modifying the temperature inside the oven as a function not only of the speed of travel of said yarn, but also of its count. Process allowing the cooling of a yarn (2) in motion at the exit from a heater (5) before it passes through a treatment member such as a false twist spindle (7), consisting in passing the yarn inside a tube (10) through which a current of cool air or other gaseous product passes, the current of air being directed in a direction opposite to the direction of advance of the yarn. It is characterized in that during this cooling phase, the yarn is held in contact with a support or guide surface arranged coaxially inside the tube (10) through which the current of air which flows in the space contained between the external tube (10) and the guide surface.

Process and apparatus for cooling a heated yarn

Device for heating a yarn in motion, of the type consisting of an insulating enclosure (15) which surrounds a heater block (E) with which it defines a lengthwise channel inside which the yarn (5) to be treated runs, means for guiding said yarn being provided to ensure its positioning, said heater block (E) consisting of a unit comprising at least two cylindrical sections (A, B) which have different diameters and are arranged one extending the other and which support, over their length, rings (1, 3, 4) equipped with guiding members making it possible to keep the yarn at a constant distance from the surface of small diameter, and making it possible to make the yarn describe a tangent helically with the cylindrical surface of large diameter. It is characterized in that one of the outermost faces (31) of the cowling surrounding the insulating enclosure and the heater block is removable and carries all the connections which make it possible to provide the electrical supply to the oven, its control etc., the heater block (E) being fastened by one of its ends to said removable face (31).

An apparatus for the heat treatment of yarns in motion during various operations such as drawing or texturing includes an insulating enclosure which surrounds a heating block, the combination defining a lengthwise channel through which runs the yarn to be treated. Means for guiding the yarn through the channel is provided to ensure the desired positioning of the yarn inside the channel. The heating block consists of a unit comprising at least two cylindrical sections having different diameters and arranged in the extension of one another. The means for guiding the yarn is positioned along the length of the cylindrical sections so that the yarn may be kept at a constant distance from the surface of the cylinder of smaller diameter, with the result that the yarn passing above the smaller cylinder is heated by radiation. The means for guiding then direct the yarn so that the yarn may come into tangential contact with the surface of the cylinder of larger diameter, with the result that the yarn passing over the surface of the larger cylinder is heated by contact or conduction. Suction means for removing fumes produced by the heat treatment operation associated with a sleeve that closes the outlet end of the device is also provided.

The device according to the invention enables a false twist to be communicated to a fibrous material. The device includes two endless belts or aprons inclined with respect to each other and mounted on two pairs of rollers. According to the invention, the support rollers supporting the two aprons are mounted on the casing proper of the spindle via two support arms, one of the support arms of each pair being subjected to the action of pressure for ensuring tension of each apron and at least one of the other two support arms being mounted in articulated manner on the casing. Parallelism between the axes of the rollers is not able to be respected.

This invention relates to a device for drawing roves or slivers of fibers on a spinning machine with a view to converting this material into spun yarns, of the type incorporating pendulous arms, constituted essentially by an assembly comprising, mounted on the support frame of the machine, a series of splined shafts extending over the whole length of the machine and common to all the work positions, said shafts being driven in rotation and, on the other hand, presser elements constituted by rollers mounted on a pivoting support arm comprising means ensuring pressure of the presser rollers against the splined shafts, wherein the pendulous arm bearing the presser elements is assembled on the frame of the machine via a support comprising means for simultaneously separating the presser rollers parallel to the line of splined shafts.
