A spinal osteosynthesis assembly comprises a connector, a bone anchor capable of being received in the connector, a connecting member capable of being received in the connector, and a ring capable of coming into contact with the bone anchor, the connecting member being able to come to bear against the ring and the bone anchor when the ring and the bone anchor are fitted in the connector.

Anchoring member with safety ring

A multiaxial connection osteosynthesis system for the spine having a bone anchor, a connector and a connecting member. The bone anchor may be implanted into a vertebral body with a connector being attached to a head of the bone anchor. The connector includes a seat for receiving the connecting member. As the connecting member is locked into position it causes walls of the connector to inwardly deform and lock the head of the bone anchor relative to the connector.

Multiaxial connection for osteosynthesis

An anchoring member and packer for use in spinal osteosynthesis systems. The anchoring member can accept a connecting element such as a spinal rod, and is adapted for insertion into bone. The packer provides stability to the anchoring member particularly when the anchoring member is not fully engaged to bone. The anchoring member has a head, anchoring means for engagement to bone, and retaining means for retaining the packer against the head. The packer has a through-orifice for receiving the anchoring member and complimentary retaining means for engagement to the head of the anchoring member.
