A 12-phase static electrical transformer rectifier including a transformer and first and second three-phase rectifier circuits for coupling to a load, the transformer including a primary circuit having three primary coils arranged in a star configuration and a secondary circuit including three first secondary coils and three second secondary coils that are distinct from the first secondary coils. The secondary circuit of the transformer includes a loop of six secondary coils formed by electrically connecting together the three first secondary coils and the three second secondary coils of the secondary circuit.

A current measuring device is protected against electrical surges in the event of the device being open circuit. The device includes a first current transformer, a first connection terminal having connected thereto a first terminal of the first current transformer, a second connection terminal having connected thereto a second terminal of the first current transformer, a protective resistance having a first terminal connected to the second connection terminal, and a load resistance connected between the first and second connection terminals across the terminals of which a voltage is measured from which the current flowing in a circuit passing through the first current transformer is determined. The invention relates to a method for protecting a multi-phase autotransformer for an aircraft, including the steps of receiving () values of current output from (I, I) the first and second phases and a value of current input into (I) the second phase; determining (), from these received values of the second phase, a value of current representative of the operation (I) of the second phase; determining (), as a function of this determined value and of the value of current output from (I) the first phase, a value representative of the homopolar current (I) flowing in the first phase; comparing () this value of homopolar current (I) with a first predetermined threshold value (S1) at least during a first predetermined period (D1); and controlling () the values of currents input into (I, I) and/or output from (I, I) the phases as a function of the said first comparison.

Method and device for protecting an autotransformer for an aircraft

The present disclosure is directed towards a method for protecting a multi-phase autotransformer for an aircraft including the steps of receiving values of current input into and output from the first and second phases; determining, as a function of these received values, values of current representative of the operation of the phases; determining, as a function of these determined values, a value representative of a homopolar current flowing in the first phase; comparing, in a first comparison, the value representative of the homopolar current flowing in the first phase with a first predetermined threshold value; and controlling the values of current input into the phases as a function of the first comparison.
