A 5-thiazole-methane-amine selected from the group consisting of (1) compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represent members selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and, taken together, alkylene having up to 5 carbon atoms, azaalkylene having up to 4 carbon atoms, alkylalkylene having up to 5 carbon atoms in the alkylene and 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl, and alkylazaalkylene having up to 4 carbon atoms in the azaalkylene and 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl which may be in any position, and (2) its acid addition salts with non-toxic, pharmaceutically-acceptible acids; as well as processes for the preparation of the compounds and a process for use of the compounds as an antilipolytic agent.

Novel 10-(piperidino-alkyl)-phenothiazines of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine, --CF.sub.3, --OCH.sub.3 and SCH.sub.3, B and R are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Z' is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 10 carbon atoms, p is 0 or 1, n is 0, 1 or 2 and A is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, --COOR.sub.2 and --COR.sub.1, R.sub.2 is linear alkyl of 1 to 15 carbon atoms and R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms optionally containing a double bond or --O-- and a polymethoxyphenyl and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having neuroleptic, analgesic, spasmolytic and antihistaminic activity and their preparation and novel intermediates.

10-(Piperidin o-alkyl)-phenothiazines

Novel phenothiazines of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine, trifluoromethyl, methylthio and methoxy, B is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, p is 0 or 1, R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having neuroleptic activity and frequently antihistaminic activity and their preparation.

Novel phenothiazines as neuroleptics

Novel 6,11-dihydrodibenzo(b,e)thiepines of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein A is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and acyl of an alkanoic acid of 2 to 19 carbon atoms in the form of their optically active isomers or racemic mixtures thereof and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having remarkable anticholinergic properties.

Diebenzo(B,E)thiepines

N-[.omega.-(4'-(3'-indolyl)-piperidino)-alkyl]-benzamides of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, n is 2 or 3, X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, X.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, --NH.sub.2 and ##EQU1## and X.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine and sulfamoyl and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having neurosedative properties and their preparation.

N-[.omega.-(4'-(3'-indolyl)-piperidino)-alkyl]-benzamides

Novel [4'-(3'-indolyl)-piperidino]-alkyl-arylketones of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkoxy of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, n is 2 or 3 and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine and bromine and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having central nervous system depressant activity.
