A purge valve for a mounted assembly for a vehicle consisting of a wheel comprising a rim and of a tire, the valve comprising a body associated with the rim and a piston able to move with respect to the body between a closed position and a purge position and the valve being normally closed. The opening of the valve is obtained by the moving of the piston into the space radially external to the rim, the opening being obtained by action of a control force on the piston, exerted from the space radially internal to the rim, and provided by compressed air led from the space radially internal to the rim to the radially interior surface of the piston and the compressed air led from the space radially internal to the rim to the radially interior surface of the piston being at a pressure lower than or equal to that of the mounted assembly.

Purge valve for mounted assembly

A tire for a heavy vehicle, with radial carcass reinforcement, having an outside radius R greater than 1000 mm, comprising a crown reinforcement radially interposed between the carcass reinforcement and the tread, said crown reinforcement having at least one protective crown reinforcement radially adjacent to the tread. The tire comprises a complex having at least one layer of polymer mix with an axial width that is less than the width of the working crown reinforcement and with a thickness that is greater than 16 mm, the elastic modulus of said complex having a radial gradient, the lowest elastic modulus being greater than 15 MPa.

An assembly for fixing a module to a surface of a tire. The assembly includes a base having a sole plate with a mounting face, for permanent connection to the surface of the tire and a bearing face. The base also has holding means for holding the module in place on the bearing face. A process for cross-linking/expanding at least one cross-linkable, expandable blank, which is intended to form all or part of an elastomeric safety support for a tire in which: the cross-linking consists of curing the expandable or expanded blank in a bath of fluid at excess pressure which is contained in an enclosure, such that the blank interacts with the bath independently of the enclosure, the temperature of the bath having a maximum value of between 110&deg; C. and 210&deg; C. and the absolute pressure of said bath having at least a value equal to or greater than 14 bar, and the expansion consists of curing the cross-linkable or cross-linked blank in the bath, the temperature of the bath having a maximum value of between 110&deg; C. and 210&deg; C., and the absolute pressure of the bath having at least a value equal to or greater than 5 bar and a final pressure-relief value substantially equal to 1 bar, for expanding the blank such that its increase in volume is unlimited with respect to the enclosure.

An assembly for mounting a tire without independent inner tube including two conical metal mounting rings intended to receive the tire beads, positioned and locked on the hub of the vehicle by means of two circular lateral locking rings recessed in a hub, each locking ring being composed of a vulcanized rubber mix reinforced by and coating a reinforcement ring which is circumferentially elastic and radially resistant to compression.

A tire for mounting on a rim, the flanges of which have rounded rim hooks, has at least two beads and a carcass reinforcement formed of at least one ply of reinforcement elements. Each bead is devoid of a bead wire. The carcass reinforcement has in each bead a meridian profile which is curved axially and radially from the outside to the inside to form an axially inner edge located at an angle open axially and radially towards the inside. The carcass reinforcement is reinforced in each bead at least radially to the outside and axially to the inside, firstly by at least one first continuous additional layer, formed of inextensible circumferential reinforcement elements and secondly by at least one second continuous additional layer, formed of inextensible, radial reinforcement elements the two additional layers having meridian profiles substantially parallel to the meridian profile of the carcass reinforcement in the bead.
