The invention si a multiphase flow metering method. The method includes a) determining at least two pressure values P and P for the different points A and B, and the value of the internal pressure Po of a device; and b) determining, from the values determined in step a) from the knowledge of the density of the gas phase and of the liquid phase and/or of the average value of the density of the multiphase medium in a slotted tube, from a relation connecting at least the following parameters: the level of the interface between the liquid phase and the gas phase and/or the volume ratio of the gas phase to the liquid phase (GLR) from pressure values P , P2, Po, the total flow rate value Qt of the flowing multiphase medium and/or the flow rate q , q of each of the phases.

Multiphase flow metering method and device

The invention relates to a process and to a device for regulating a multiphase pumping assembly that includes notably at least one multiphase pump (1), a device (6) for determining a parameter representative of a working instability of multiphase pump (1) and at least one programmed processing assembly (7) allowing to store at least the determined parameter and initial parameter values, and to compute the new value of the speed of said multiphase pump in order to bring the working point of the pump back into its operating range.

Process and device for regulating a multiphase pumping assembly

An underwater electric connector includes two elements (1,9) which may be coupled end to end and which are each equipped with a cylindrical cavity and a set of contact pieces (17, 20). One of the elements (1) is equipped with a device for injecting an insulating fluid under pressure. Housings (2,8) of the elements have end pieces (11,10) which may be fitted one onto the other. Each set of contact pieces is secured on the element (1,9) which carries it. A cylindrical pin (22) bears two groups (24,25) of contact pieces connected electrically by twos from one group (24) to the other (25), and is equipped with a head (26,23) which seals the cylindrical cavity (19) of the second element (9) when the pin is completely inserted. Devices for gripping (27) and displacement (28) are provided in the first element to secure the pin in the position at which its contacts (24,25) are opposite the contact pieces of the two sets (17,20) of contacts.

Underwater electric connector

The equipment is connected through a line to an auxiliary buoyant element to form an assembly of positive buoyancy, the equipment to be submerged and the auxiliary element being at first held in spaced relationship. The equipment is thereafter dropped into water, the length of the connecting line being so limited that the equipment then becomes suspended in water under the auxiliary element without reaching the water bottom. The location of the assembly is then optionally adjusted, and its buoyancy is reduced to a negative value.

Method for submerging an equipment of negative buoyancy

This device comprises a pipe formed of separate flexible pipe sections which in use are supported by buoyant elements maintained immersed by anchoring means. The flexible pipe sections are interconnected by couplings with at least some of these couplings being connected to a buoyant element and comprising stress limiters applied to the pipe sections adjacent said couplings.
