A light emitting diode (LED) fixture includes an electrical connector that is configured to receive an input signal from a constant current network that has a voltage in a range from a first voltage value to a second voltage value; an LED load; an LED driver circuit coupled to the LED load, the LED driver circuit configured to operate between a third voltage value and a fourth voltage value, wherein the third voltage value is greater than the first voltage value; and a conversion circuit coupled between the electrical connector and the LED driver circuit, the conversion circuit configured to output an electrical signal in response to the input signal from the constant current network, the electrical signal having a voltage that is between the third voltage value and the fourth voltage value.

LED fixtures for constant current network

A Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) control hub implements DALI-based lighting control. The DALI control hub receives, from a DALI controller, a DALI control message addressed to the DALI control hub. The DALI control hub controls a plurality of DALI compliant devices collectively in accordance with the DALI control message. To control the plurality of DALI compliant devices collectively, the DALI control hub transmits, to each of a plurality of DALI compliant devices, a further DALI control message addressed to the DALI compliant device based on the DALI control message received from the DALI controller.

Enhancing DALI-based lighting control

According to one aspect, a thermal protection device is provided having an electrical input for receiving input DC power and an electrical output for connection to a load. A heating circuit is coupled to the electrical input for developing one of first and second different heat magnitudes depending upon a temperature magnitude in the housing. An additional circuit is in thermal communication with the heating circuit for providing output DC power to the electrical output when the first heat magnitude is developed and for interrupting the output DC power when the second heat magnitude is developed.

A voltage monitoring circuit includes a line monitoring circuit configured to receive an AC line voltage and generate an output voltage in response to the AC line voltage exceeding a threshold voltage, and a rectifier circuit coupled to the line monitor circuit and configured to receive the output voltage from the line monitoring circuit generate a rectified voltage signal in response to the output voltage.

Voltage monitoring circuit

A thermal protection device includes a heating circuit that develops a first heat magnitude when exposed to a temperature below a threshold and further develops a second heat magnitude greater than the first heat magnitude when exposed to a temperature above the threshold. A thermal circuit breaker is disposed in heat communication with the heating circuit and has component having a holding temperature greater than the threshold and a trip temperature greater than the holding temperature.

A driver is connectable to an external power supply and configured to output variable electrical power for one or more loads, such as LEDs. A module including a microcontroller is operable to output a control signal that automatically varies the electrical power outputted by the driver. The microcontroller is further configured to be powered by the control signal.

Load system having a control element powered by a control signal

A lamp driver responsive to a control signal that is variable in a predetermined control range includes a circuit operable in response to a value of the control signal within the predetermined control range to develop a first current and a lamp control voltage dependent upon the value of the control signal. A shutdown interface is operable in response to a value of the control signal outside of the predetermined control range to develop a second current to turn off a lamp.
